Offended ? Not at all, I was just saying that while 100 are crying in the forums 500'000 are playing the game without a problem in their minds.

I only dislike QQ, Gloom-Doom and Rage threads.
I do welcome constructive, clean and correct opinions/critism.

But those are so god damn rare in the forums ... it's just sad.

Also I might sound angry when I write but I'm never angry in forums actually.

Well when I was a kid my mother used to put punch/soda into a plastic form and a wooden stick in it and leave it in the fridge to make me popsicles.

Extra retainers was planned, but never came. First the payment service was delayed until january 2012. Then the dev thought they can just let it be with 2 free retainers until ARR because old XIV end soon anyway. The idea was that the retainers should replaces the mules that was known in XI (that also costs 1$/month).
But there was still the option to buy an extra character slot for 3$/month and use the retainer in an empty market ward to sell the items for 1 gil to yourself for item transfer between the characters.

What give a paid extra retainer to you that a not payed extra character with 2 extra free retainers can't? Except a simpler way to transfer the items between them?

For me, I would buy 1 extra retainer. Not for venture, nor for selling stuff but for putting in all the gears I would find to save them up for glamour because most of them would be character bounded. Everything else I can hand out to the other retainers on my other characters like I do already with all the materias.
