No, it really isn't. I'm honestly amazed people are going this crazy over being able to do the equivalent of buying more bank slots. It's not a massive game-changer, if you actually NEED that much storage space, you're either a packrat or you don't spend nearly as much time sorting, discarding, and selling stored items as you should be.

Admittedly, I'm going to be purchasing probably one more retainer, but that's mainly just because, well, I'm a bit of a packrat. Particularly when it comes to equipment sets and weapons that I find interesting. However, not everybody is like me, and so they obviously won't be buying the extra retainer slots. If people buy the extra retainers specifically for more Ventures per day, that's fine, they can do that. It's essentially the same as buying Treasure Maps off the market board to get past the restrictions on acquiring maps.

If got Legacy and $7.99 a month you already have access to 8 character per server 16 retainers total as long as you do the quests which take a couple hours. So I don't even see the big deal. If you aren't legacy its still only $14.99 a month for the same deal.

It's not that big of a deal to me retainers, it's more of what it usually leads to. Already seen the consequences of it in DCUO.

That;s different, replay badge is selling power, so does the Diablo 3 rmah, they are selling power.

Should we not be allowed to have 2 accounts to mail stuff between the 2 and have 32 retainers then? As you say, that's pay to win!

Just curious are you going to buy a retainer? I assume most players will end up feeling like they need to buy it. That's the thing I don't like the most. I don't feel that way about having another account.

Trust me on this there not going to bring back much.
