    Suggestion: DoH/DoL Dungeons

    I think it would be extremely fun to be able to play a Dungeon as a DoH or DoL or both. In order to progress you need to gather and craft. It would make both of these classes very fun to play and would probably form more crafting circles for those of us who hate crafting alone.

    Ever since Alpha I've been imagining FATE's based around those classes. One thing I've always imagined was a mine cave in, which could work just as easily as a dungeon.

    A bunch of NPC's are trapped, you need miners to dig them out, other classes can do other things towards the event as well. CNJ/WHM/SCH can heal the wounded, other combatants can fight enemies that are accidentally dug out instead of miners, CRP/BSM/ARM can build reinforcements to stop tunnels from collapsing again, CUL and ALC can help heal the wounded too, WVR can make blankets for them, etc. There's all sorts of things that can be done in a state of emergency like that so you can really bring in any number and any combination of classes, hence my thinking of it as a FATE at first. It would work well as a dungeon though, something similar to an underground hamlet where you have to be more choosy with what objectives you want to go for and how to go about getting them. Can't have as many combatants if there aren't enough miners, and re-excavating previously dug tunnels will be needed if you don't have enough crafters reinforcing them, but everyone will be helpless if there aren't any combatants to fight the coblyns that were just accidentally freed, etc.

    Alternatives were things like forest fires and massive ancient trees fallen across major roads and helping to rebuild settlements/outposts after bandit attacks. There are LOTS of things crafters and gatherers can do that would help people but as we can't even participate in FATE's that directly call for our particular skill sets (ever tried to pick a cactus leaf in a Thanalan FATE as a BTN?) I can't really imagine these sorts of things making it into the game any time soon.

    I love the idea of fun dungeouns based on DoL throw some.moogles in there and.some fun atmospherics u got yourself a nice reprieve from fighting jobs

    Miner: "Hi there!... The Gatherer's roulette sent me here today... Uhm... Well, I guess I can get some of those salty special rocks close to the boss area... May you help me reach there?"

    You: "Erhm.. Okay! Let's help this poor soul to achieve that rare item!.."
    Miner: "Thanks! I'll share with you a few of things I collect!..."
    A member of your party: "So... What are you going to do while we clean the area?"
    Miner: "Oh, no worries, there are other minerals around, not interesting ones, but at least give exp and carbonized matter."
    Another party member: "What a bad luck, to come here as miner and not as bothanist, dude..."
    Miner: "Well, that's right... We all know that the best dungeon for this is Copperbell Mines..."

    maybe not dungeons, per se, but I could certainly see small events akin to guildhests being used. a few examples:

    Gridania DoH/DoL Guildhest: "Dam It!"
    Description: The Shroud is in danger of flooding parts of Gridania. Your party must collect logs and build a dam to prevent massive damage to the town.
    4 Man Group: 1 BTN, 3 DoH (like carpenter, alchemist, leatherworker, blacksmith)

    Uldah DoH/DoL Guildhest: "Our mighty mighty brickhouse"
    Description: Local denizens' homes are falling apart. Stones must be collected, support beams need to be built, and roofs need to be thatched--we can't just let it all hang out.
    4 Man Group: 1 Miner, 3 DoH (like carpenter, armorer, blacksmith, weaver)

    Limsa DoH/DoL Guildhest: "We put fishsticks in our mouths"
    Description: A large envoy has made a surprise visit to the town. Your team must quickly gather supplies and prepare the hall.
    4 Man Group: 1 Fisher, 3 DoH (like culinarian, alchemist, goldsmith, armorer)

    To be able to work as a team of crafters/gatherers still sounds awesome. It would make people more aware the benefits of the classes
