or get two cat5 cables take one cat5 cut the plugs off each end and grab the other cat5 this is the one ull be useing now take the other cat 5 u just cut the ends off and wrap the end 3 times around the jacket the clips in and repeat the same for the other end and make shure u use electrical tape to secure them and make shure u also cover the jacket now you have stoped the leaking data from the modem to the computer and this will increse your speed and thus have less lag hope this helps i saw a video from some bright kid
