Display Driver not responding = Crash

I recently upgraded my rig and have been having trouble with FFXIV running consistently.

So the problem I seem to be having is that my game won't consistently stay operational. I get random freezes then the monitor flickers and comes back on giving me an error bubble stating that My Display Driver stopped responding.
I'm not so sure what to do from here on in as it just randomly happens.. sometimes I can't even get past the avatar login screen. I cannot play more then 5 minutes... It runs great, smooth framerate, great settings.. but then.. flickr.. crash... Also I have been running Total War Shogun II at high settings without these problems.

What are your game settings? Does this happen in fullscreen?
Did you update DirectX and your graphics drivers to the newest version? I couldn't find any topic on issues with this specific gpu-model. You might also want to check your graphic card temperature while playing the game. You can do this with AMD Overdrive in the AMD CC.

Added my drive info above. Yes it's the latest version. And I just updated DirectX so I will give it a try.

If you upgrade your GPU you should always use a driver cleaner first to completely remove old drivers.

Use Driver Sweeper, but do be careful not to select drivers other than for your video card. You could end up wiping all your PC drivers making it quite an annoying process to reinstall and get everything working properly again. I accidentally did that once, and took me 3hrs to get my PC back to the way I had it set.

Then when you reinstall your GPU drivers, make sure you check the "clean install" option during setup!

Actually I am having sorta the same problem except my card is the ATI Radeon HD 5750. I have noticed that ALOT of people are having this display driver stopped working issue. Just as a heads up this is not a ATI only problem as people with nVida cards are also running into the same problem. I have the most recent driver. I did a reinstall of the OS and the game and still running into this problem.
