Ultima Ballad, why are DPS all terrible? (DF EXPERIENCE)

So, from what I can see after doing this for the last 2 weeks everyday using the dungeon finder is that 90% of the time I will get paired with dps that pretty much wipe the entire raid... how?

1. Do not avoid aoe damage

2. Healers are too busy healing dps

3. Healers are too busy ressing dps

which ends up in a wipe after you're in the lasy 40% and ultima hits like a truck and ur tank dies.

So the only way to farm this is why a fc that has dedicated group?

Because the good DPS aren't doing Ultima's Ballad.

everytime, i see people forming for ultima HM, i always has the same question, why do ultima when you can farm Xm Primal. (except necklace, but i would rather get it from coil or buying myth) most of people i have know will not farm ultima, unless it for helping friend for quest or got bored LOL. imho, if you have time to learn and form ultima, use those to Learn Xm Primal, Titan Xm delay issue can be overcome by moving a head of time and hang back behind your team so you only get hit by 1 plume.

Well...

Besides the Chokers (which several are actually really good; Healing is the only one with Spell Speed and Striking is behind only the Allagan Striking right now, unless you need the Accuracy, Aiming has Acc where the i90 do not), some Rings are actually very useful, especially in no-acc content. The Fending Ring can be argued to be better than even the Hero's Ring when no Acc is needed (and it is MUCH better than the Vortex Fending), the Healing Ring is, again, the only one with SS, and the Casting Ring is just good all-around (again, in no-Acc content especially) The Aiming accessories go in the other direction, having Acc where the i90 do not (Allagan Aiming Ring from T5 being the exception), so can still be very useful there.

Yes, normally you will just go i90>i80, but there are cases where the i80 is better. Its only 2 points off the main stat, and in some cases the secondaries make up for it (again, look at the Striking Choker; its weighted better than the i90 versions with Accuracy [Allagan Maiming and Hero's], but is behind the one with no Acc [Allagan Striking])

Some of us 'are' prefectionist and want to have every fight on record just in case you need said fight for future xpacs.

Because its DF. People generally use DF to practice fights rather than clearing them. If you have intentions to actually farm ultima you should use the party finder.

It's DF. I'm confused to why players go into DF, expecting to consistently clear content one shots, whatever. It was never made for that reason. Want to farm for your Ultima loot? Time to use PF, build a LS etc. Expecting to do so via DF, is only making sure you'll be disappointed.

The people you are meeting in DF probably don't know the fight that well and are dying to silly things they would easily avoid if they knew what to do. The fight itself is pretty simple if you know what to do, but would seem chaotic if you didn't. Healers can also be new, but they have the benefit of healing themselves immediately if they mess up... so healers are much less likely to die, but it does still happen.

Keep in mind that tanks should be using cooldowns at moments when they know healers will be busy (even without people messing up), such as when magiteks are out and the meteors are about to drop. It's not so much that healers are too busy healing others at this point, but they are forced to dodge the magitek beams while healing the tanks, which can make them a little delayed if they are avoiding as they should be.

Tanks, healers, and DPS should all have Ultima on focus target. Knowing when he's going to purge or pushback is very helpful.
