And the reality is, that is why I prefer my players to be an "elitist" than "casual". Not only do casuals sound more annoying, half the excuses and insults do not make any sense. I didn't know not standing in fire and me telling you to avoid it is classified under me not having a life 9 (yes I have experienced this first and third person MANY times, I don't just make up random stories to prove a point). The funny thing is, casuals say elitists make mountains out of molehills, hell we see the exact opposite since constructive criticism (YES constructive criticism not insulting like some people in this forums love to twist in such a sick and manipulative sense) gets us harassment reports. Someone in the parser thread said it best, a lot of "elitist" have no problem teaching, it's just the casuals have utter refusal to learn or take ANY form of advice into consideration.I think I'll just leave this amusing link here. This. I do everything for the first time with my Free Company whenever I can (and thankfully they're always up for stuff!) because even if it's content that was just introduced in this patch, it's automatically expected you're fully familiar with all the mechanics and will play perfectly (the latter of which is always bull because human error is a very real thing). It's really freaking stupid.
Hey I consider myself casual player, but even I know red stuff = badI can tell the difference between helpful advice/constructive criticism, and when someone's just being a douche. It's common sense in a dungeon, if I pull too much aggro as a dps I get squished (horribly, as I deserve too, if I make stupid mistakes). I will run to the tank and hide under him (even better if he's a roe, I can hide in him) if I accidentally pull aggro... you're generalizing all people who play casually, we're not all complete idiots

Is it lonely on the pedestal of perfection? Did Kim Sung Senior take a page from your book, did you too, also walk out of your mother's womb with a full head of hair, at perfect posture and having already established yourself as a perfect specimen of human kind?
Please tell me where I may send my tributes, it appears I have been failing terribly to appropriately give them as due.
Sarcasm aside, I think his point is more like this. Why are they expected to teach EVERY SINGLE "bad" player they come across? Not just some, but practically everyone. Going off my experience, most "good" players have no problem teaching people. The problem is when it seems the type of person who is slow to learn and very needy in that department, is endless almost. Is it lonely on the pedestal of perfection? Just do what I do screw with the aholes in the party finder send them tells suggesting that they may want to put there insane expectation of a group in all caps because it emphasizes the point there trying to get across of the group there looking for or tell them to raise the item level so that they only get the best player you'd be surprised how many people bite on that one, humor and sarcasm go along way in quelling the frustration or head shaking moments you may run across.![]()
Hopefully if you teach bad players, they might become a good players that will in turn teach to others bad players, thus reducing your "workload" on the long term.Sarcasm aside, I think his point is more like this. That's only if you play on the same server and if they don't curse you out for giving them advice first.
I already explained my point many times throughout this thread. People just all upset over a one liner that they don't understand the meaning of.
