Than at the first week of February, Playstation had 50% sale on all Final Fantasy games on PSN. This dropped FFXIV:ARR to 20 bucks regular edition and 30 bucks collectors, I only remember this because 2 days before I brought FFXIV:ARR for 40 bucks on PSN. Did this because I knew the game would be digital no matter what and once you activate the game on your account it is locked there.

No one ever said that all elitist are good. Those that don't take advice are elitist that don't realize that they are terrible. They think they are elite with their ways. They are just real elite at being horribad.

The 1 - 49 contents needs to be a little more punishing to make people more aware of how to play their job, consider many of them tends to hate being offered advice.

They do, it is the duty roulette. They pay substitute teacher pay, i.e. the daily bonus, and you don't have to do it on a permanent basis.

Or would rather SE formalize a teaching guild/FC where players sign up for duty, and have qualifications tests, and obligations to do and be paid out in gil? Shouldn't this be up to the players to form some open world FC to instruct the noobs?

    You're using elitist wrong.

Elitist are good players that usually don't want to run with noobs/under geared players. Everyone has to have top gear and be top players.

I noticed a lot of people in this community don't know the difference between casual, hardcore, no lifer, jerks, and elitist.

Let's see how long it takes before someone calls me elitist because I actually know how to use the term. *Looks at watch*

I agree, they do a good job teaching you mechanics of dungeons via guildhests, but then they omit that and then suddenly at 50 your gear is crap and the encounters a tougher. Which is why new players have such crappy gear at Titan HM.

I think what most people are saying is that you should at least try to help. If you do that and they ignore your advice anyway, then you at least have more grounds to complain about it. :P I have given advice before and been ignored but that didn't discourage me from still doing it. For every person that ignores you, there's usually one that does listen. They might not even acknowledge what you said, but you can see it in how they play. I got story Haukke Manor in low level duty roulette and one of the DPS was an arcanist who I could tell didn't have their pet on obey because it went into the first boss room and almost started the fight without the rest of us. So I told them, put pet on obey to prevent that. The arcanist didn't say anything, but their pet also didn't aggro bosses after that so I assume they did listen.

Similarily, your assumption that rude bads that don't take advice is the norm is also wrong. It is a bogus strawman. Sure they exist, but they do NOT last very long and do NOT get very far either.

What really happens is rude elitist goes off on someone with their holier than thou attitudes and gets a pissed off response in turn. It takes one to known one. It is not called advice when it is an insult.

No, they kick him over and call him a filthy senior citizen before skipping inside and waving at him once it starts raining. Then QQ about him blocking the doorway.
