I don't exactly agree with this.

I honestly have a lot more fun with more of the low level content than high level content (with some exceptions). I'm good at what I do, but I enjoy relaxing rather than stressing out over getting screamed at by jerks because I happened to make one mistake (which happens, even with good players.)

There's a difference between being a bad player, being a player who is learning, and being a good player who isn't perfect. I shouldn't have to feel terrified to make mistakes in later instances that I might not know perfectly. Too many people in this game expect perfection from people out of the gate. I shouldn't see people get vote kicked from Castrum or Praetorium on their first run through simply because they had to take a quick bathroom break before a boss. I shouldn't see people getting kicked from dungeons that they said at the beginning that they're new and learning the mechanics.

Is it lonely on the pedestal of perfection? Did Kim Sung Senior take a page from your book, did you too, also walk out of your mother's womb with a full head of hair, at perfect posture and having already established yourself as a perfect specimen of human kind?

Please tell me where I may send my tributes, it appears I have been failing terribly to appropriately give them as due.

Sarcasm aside, I think his point is more like this. Why are they expected to teach EVERY SINGLE "bad" player they come across? Not just some, but practically everyone. Going off my experience, most "good" players have no problem teaching people. The problem is when it seems the type of person who is slow to learn and very needy in that department, is endless almost.

Hopefully if you teach bad players, they might become a good players that will in turn teach to others bad players, thus reducing your "workload" on the long term.

That's only if you play on the same server and if they don't curse you out for giving them advice first.

I already explained my point many times throughout this thread. People just all upset over a one liner that they don't understand the meaning of.

In my experience though, it's not even about that. It's just that there are SO many that "need" the hand holding. And the people who don't aren't enough to compensate, so it's expected near all the time.

Thats the sad part about some of the people in this game its like walking on egg shells patience goes a long way in making people better at the game not insults or put downs.
I've seen it many times, and i've seen it not happen either. But the fact is it does happen. Having patience doesn't mean anything when the person doesn't care HOW you say it, just trying to tell them to play any way other than how they do already is grounds for insults.

Well, bad players teaching the good players are somehow defeating the purpose ...

The solution to bad players or bad strategy is provide assistance or guidance. This is a game with team objectives and goals. If you do not help to guide the team or stop the problems that are obvious then you have failed the team as well.

So we must forever be relegated to teach and in many cases hand holding.. over and over and over? This is why most of these people DON'T DF, are in a static, or have strict PF rules. It gets tiresome after a while.

I admit it that it can be taxing. This is a game with team objectives. We have to communicate to inexperienced people to make things happen. A static is probably better to avoid these problems. However, I think good players should be leaders.
