More like, the number of good players is decreasing. Two days ago I ran into a drg that died so much her armor broke in CM. Yesterday I ran into a WHM that couldn't doge to save his life so he died over and over and our group kept wiping! These are just two examples, I could go on and on.
P.S. I don't know if they are doing it because they are board or if they really are that bad of a player. But what ever the reason its getting annoying.
This game has the highest number of horribads I have ever seen and like OP said, the number is increasing. I was in a group that wiped on ultima story mode, phase 1, TWICE. How is that even possible?
I know what you mean OP, number of Tanks dropping after first wipe is rising. Instead of people trying to figure out a solution to preventing a wipe again they just leave and its always the Tank the leads in dropping from the dungeon, this is assuming he even stays in the roulette as the dungeon loads up.
I don't call players that wipe bad, I call the players quitting bad. Too many times I get players wanting to abandon on first wipe instead of figuring out a solution to prevent the wipe. Bad players arent going to improve if you aren't willing to work with them.
Rage Quitters or Quitters = Bad Players
My GF is a really good tank and she ran ct for the first time unfortunately without me... She was new to CT and from what I understand was ganged up on by all the people in the raid... People berated her so bad that she doesn't even tank anymore, this disgusts me not only because she is my gf but for the simple fact that people can take a game so seriously... Because someone is new doesn't mean that they are bad, sometimes it takes time to learn what you are doing and some people get overwhelmed by too much chaos... How many dungeons have you ran not having a clue what's happening just rolling though the motions? On another note this rage quitting or belittling is totally unacceptable... People are suppose to work together to achieve something and help people that are falling behind... Don't complain about people, if it bothers you that much then help change them and mold them... I was in the military and when one of our comrades was struggling we didn't say screw it and leave him behind... We helped pick him back up and push him forward... Not everyone is on your level but one day that might surpass it...
I agree rage quitters are bad players. I typically see this on primal battles when after 1-2 wipes ppl vote abandon or simply leave.
I wouldn't call them bad players, just inexperienced. If you do the same content over and over again you'll memorize the mechanics. That and there's also people playing/leveling thier alts for fun.
That and I also think that the number of new players are increasing, while the vets are off doing the harder content with ppl they know.

OK, I have to ask, how often do you two not play together? Yes...this is important.
What did she do to cause the hate? Pull the Valefor in a way to wipe the raid with tail swipe? (which no tank should do, no matter how inexperienced they are at CT. Its the same enemy as the last boss of AK...)
Also, if one instance without you made her "stop tanking"...maybe she isn't really cut out to be a tank in the first place...

It's not surefire but for the most part players with a lot of commendations are helpful, friendly, solid players. You wouldn't give it to anyone that rage I'm sure.
As for helping players: There's a lot of players that constantly ask for help and never gives any. There are also a lot of hypocrites that sound all friendly and helpful on the forums but in video game reality, aren't really helpful at all. Some players receive help, but then never bother to help anyone. Players are trying to paint players that need help as some poor guy that is physically weak and needs assistance. You got guys that constantly in progress/withdraw duty finders to farm easier yet they considered themselves helpful players.

It's the end of the world!
Shrug, I am not the greatest player, not the worst one either.
I find very few truely BAD players, most of them are new and have not seen the fight in question or were given bad advice on par with "attack boss, someone else will get the adds, and stay our of stuff." What is see a ton of are entitlement children and people saying things in chat (mostly Ct and shouts in Mor Dhona) that make me wonder if they have touretes or just not a shred of manners.
Like all the other mmo games I have player there is good, there is bad, and then is the majority that that feel the need to be as offensive as possible.1
