Apparently if you are someone who looks up a fight before hand, try to min/max their characters, use food buffs when needed, or do any sort of research into the game - you get crucified by the community and are told to lighten up and enjoy the game.

Yeah apparently you're not enjoying the game if you actually put in "work" to become a better player.

It's called compassion. Some players have it; others don't.

I have compassion for players that put effort into things or are super nice if they know they aren't that good but I don't think it should be expected that good players help bad ones. You'll get taken advantage by players that are lazy and looking for a carry.

Carries create bad players by giving them wins without teaching the content.

Teaching people the content =/= carry. Its giving people the tools to improve.

As for people looking for carries...those are the PFs that have ridiculous iLv requirements for the content (over i80 for T1-4 and EX primals, over i70 for Titan HM, etc)

Dungeons are so straight forward that most of the time it doesn't even take much.

a lot of people still can't do T4 even with the echo buff.

I've beaten it in DF one shot to two shot it most of the time. Only once I didn't because the healer asked to be kicked after second failed try.

That WHM is clearly new and you rage quit? The community is only as strong as every individual. If one is nice and welcoming others will follow suit slowly.

I get it re running the same thing etc is boring. But that doesn't mean you gotta kill the fun for others. Tanks rage quitting usually equates to the entire party leaving and the dps is gonna suffer another long q.
