Not really, I learn on my own most of the time. I either make practice parties or do it with friends so we help each other out. I don't go into Twintania or fights that I don't belong in and expect everyone to take their time to teach me. That's a pretty selfish thing to do.

Bad analogy there. More appropriate would be, you witness a crime in progress but don't call the police. That is contributing to the problem.

That's like saying if I witness RMT but don't report them, then I am contributing to the problem. Just because you don't do anything about it, doesn't mean you're contributing to it. I am neither responsible nor helping the cause.

Why is it that good players are always expected to teach bad players?

I actually tried two days ago, their response went like this.

Me: Don't pull hate if we already have skeleton on other platform bring it back so that they aren't close to the dragon.

Them: Back OFF I know what I am doing.

Me: But you wiped us last time doing same thing.

His gf/wife or whatever: Shut up do your own damn job we don't need help you don't wanna piss off a girl.

needless to say I don't feel like helping sometimes because of this.

Honestly, I would have ripped the Gf/wife in half after that statement. She should have minded her own business and let her stupid husband get the repercussions for not doing his job right. These combo players think they can speak for each other, lets see her do that at his workplace when he screws up there too. See how far he gets promotion and/or job stability wise.

That's my whole point but I must of got quoted for that line like 50 times in this thread when I already explained it pretty well. I think people just want to earn forum cookie points or something. Most of them probably don't even practice what they preach.

Might honestly just be Crystal Towers.

I know half the people in my guild just screw around in there or go on jobs they never played at endgame before.

For alot of people Crystal towers is just too casual to be taken seriously. More wipes in there with my FC then we have in Coil due to people screwing around. Just watch more time then not it is the people with allegan weapon dying to stuff not the people wearing garudas or Ifrit weapons.

Even when goofing off in CT our tank beats the next highest PUG on DPS, it's embarrassing how bad some of the players in CT are.

I feel bad when I see players who know what to do but cannot do it. When I see people like this, who are actually trying, I give them my 100% effort to help them through it. And if they still can't get through it I feel more bad for them, not make a thread on the damn forum.

Don't get me wrong though, I have no sympathy for people who refuse to read guides, who don't admit they don't know something at the start of a run etc. And I despise people who remain there silent, causing wpe after wipe, when you are there in their face offering to help, but no, silence....
