    Question; Isn't Quarrying a new thing?

    Miner
    Level 50 Quarrying
    Western Thanalan - Nophica's Well
    Unspoiled Mineral Deposit
    Lower La Noscea/Central Thanalan/Northern Thanalan
    Unspoiled Rocky Outcrop
    Middle La Noscea/Western Thanalan/South Shroud
    To my knowledge, Mineral Deposits = main hand, Rocky Outcrop = off hand. So... What's Quarrying? The location (Nophica's Well) does actually have a collapsed mine entrance in it... Why am I getting my hopes up?

    It would certainly balance out the trio though. So far Fishing has gotten Big Fishing, Botanist has gotten Gardening, and Miner has gotten nothing. Perhaps Miners get to Quarry in Nophica's Well?

    The exact quote from the post is

    After completing the quest "Just Tooling Around," players can speak with Talan in Revenant's Toll (X:22, Y:6) to receive a new main hand tool in exchange for goods crafted or materials gathered.
    Doesn't specify anything. Could be better, could be the same or worse (vanity is in the patch, and there shouldn't be a reason crafters can't use it too)

    Quarrying is Rocky Outcrop (Offhand). Another member on Reddit seems to have a good guess as to what these new Gathering materials will be:

    "The new unspoiled gathering nodes will most likely contain: ebony log,pine log, teak log, chestnut log, cedar log, platinum ore, raw topaz,raw emerald, raw ruby,raw diamond, raw iolite and raw sapphire."

    These items are already currently in the Game as you can search for them on the MarketBoard. They have just not been unlocked yet. I can't wait to start Mining Diamonds and Platinum! Almost certain Blacksmith/Armorer 3Star Weapons/Gear will require Platinum Nuggets
