They could just stop sending vet rewards, but then people will complain about that too. There are no costs to these awards, regardless of what they are. You get what you are given. If they want to mail us a duece with flies in our moogleboxes, they can do so. At least the tickets will get some use. Not only that, with an expansion due at sometime, maybe these tickets will have greater value.

I'm gonna pop in to say I don't support it, while the tickets aren't as exciting as other rewards, I'll take em and use em. I'm not particularly picky, since the only other mmo that I've played that gave veteran rewards was everquest 2. Usually their veteran rewards were more cards for a card game I never cared about that they wanted me to get addicted to, and buy booster packs for real money, exp increasing potions increase potions and so on. Really just a lot of small boost consumables that they sold in their cash shop already. The fact that SE has adopted a veterans reward system and are toss me free pets and mounts is pretty great.


Is every veterans reward going to excite everyone? Probably not, for example, I don't care for the phials of phantasia, and wouldn't mind if they were something else, but I'll still take em and never use em. Just like the free tickets, not everyone are excited about it, but I know some of my friends are screaming "yes!" at it, because they are horrible at managing gill and teleport everywhere and are chronically poor.

Not everyone that supports trying to haggle for a different item instead act like it, but I feel there are a few people that have gotten a little spoiled by the rewards. While it's not the best analogy, it's like deciding to go out with someone, your partner deciding that you've been together for a few months, and said partner wants to celebrate it by giving a gift. Your partner didn't have to do it, but they did it because it would be a nice surprise. Eventually your partner gets to the point where they aren't sure what to give, but they know you commute a lot with the bus every day, so they try something different and buy you a monthly subscription to your buss pass. That's where those couple of people take the bus pass that was supposed to be something nice and throw it back into the partners face, demanding something worth more! how dare they give us a buss pass, you want new jewelry, new clothes or a new car! Because that's what you've gotten used to receiving.

That's at least how I've noticed over the past day or two that a few people act like. Not saying everyone act's like that, that are disappointed. But there are those couple of people every now and then, so if you'd like to make your case, I'd suggest just voicing your disapproval without going overboard, discouraging them from doing something simple like paying your bus fair for a little while in the future rewards and getting you something more unique.

stuff to show they are happy for you subscribing? You do realize they can easily just not care and give us nothing.
Last I checked you get nothing for being subscribed in WoW and a lot of other MMO's. Stop the whining.

Special? Like the other 5+ things you have already received? I don't know why having a free Teleport destination is a bad thing.

I'll use the tickets but I wouldn't mind if they were changed for something else, something that'd last.

Another fantasia has been mentioned several times but I think (as someone beat me to saying previously) a namingway card would be better. A lot of people have already used fantasia potions and subsequently aren't happy with their names no longer fitting their characters, or have held back on using their potions because they're worried about that happening. I think a namingway card would be much more appreciated than another fantasia potion.

Regardless, the tickets will get use across the board so they aren't so bad, though comparing it to the OTP reward makes at least a full stack of 99 tickets more appropriate.
