People are up in arms because yoshi P said the year reward would be something 'very special'. Neither the minion nor 50 tickets seem that special to be honest.

yup, I had all of those. any of them would be more meaningful than 50 consumable tickets. a Mor Dhona Bracelet or something with a recharge timer would've been nice.

But keep in mind that we are getting something similar to that.
If you bother to put a one time password on your account that is.

That aside, I really think that people are taking this too seriously.
To me these tickets are far more useful than another Phantasia or another mount or minion.

Yes, I make plenty of gil and 500/600 gil is nothing I turn my hand around for but at least this is something that may still come in handy from time to time.

Aside from perhaps a namingway item I seriously have no idea what they could give us that would make people genuinely go "wow".

You know, as much as I love the veteran rewards, if people keep acting like this, I hope they take it all away.
It's free stuff. That they don't even have to offer. Odin is special enough. But if the people are gonna cry about it they may as well just remove it and not give them anything, they don't deserve it, with how they're acting, that's for sure

I'm happy with whatever rewards we get, but I'd be a liar if I said earlier rewards didn't make me happier :P

SE needs our feedback on things like this. People should be able to voice their displeasure without ridicule so that SE gets the chance to hear various opinions of the content being offered. If you don't agree with OP, then fine you can say how happy you are with the content, but no reason to bring down the hammer on them just because you aren't on the same page.

100% Agree with this. I'd play without any rewards, but the fact that there are makes me feel more appreciated as a subscriber (Yoshi does a pretty god job too.)
And there have been better rewards, but you should never look a gift choco in the beak. I'm happy to receive anything at all.

Because this is being given to you for free and there is no other way to obtain it. So yes, it is more valuable. You are not spending anything to get it. Like getting 50 $1 gas cards after being part of a loyalty program at a gas station; you didn't spend anything to get these cards.

The question to me is this. Are the Devs simply trying to give a small thanks for playing for so long (Which they are doing[Very kind of them]), or are they actually trying to give veterans some awesome extras? (The tickets are by no means awesome IMO)

ugh @ peoples arguments of "entitlement". No one is butthurt. But if you are going to develop and implement a system of "loyalty rewards" and make the year milestone arguably worth less than the 60 day milestone, then don't be surprised if people complain.

And to someones argument about verizon, you do get rewards. You get hundreds of dollars off of your $700 smartphone for re subbing.

You are horribly mistaken and have absolutely no clue on how cellular service providers work. It was a nice try though. I can always break it down for you how VZW jacks your wallet and your hole.
