I wonder what the response of people would have been if the reward was simply a one off 25,000g. The tickets have about as much meaning.
My response:
"Woot free 25k, if I'm too lazy to make my own food it just paid for 99 HQ Buttons in a blanket that'll last me about a month or two while I'm playing content in the game I pay monthly for."

Sorry, but this is just silly. Problems with it being consumable? So is the Fantasia, which is a one-time use that you are stuck with. Hell, many players have no use for Fantasia potions. I have two taking up retainer space right now. Swimsuit set? Please, most 1.0 players already had it, so how was that a worthwhile reward? The fact that the vouchers can potentially save me 25k already makes them more valuable than those previous two rewards.
In the end, these are just fluff items, not meant to be that deep.
Hell ill support it.
I'm not saying I need to get a new mount or whatever but something a bit more permanent or usable like vanity gear would have gone a lot further then some tickets that to me will just be inventory -1 and am very likely to just toss away and never use because I already have millions of gil.
Not to mention I almost rarely teleport anywhere except between Limsa and Revenants Toll and that's going to soon be entirely free anyway between using return and the one time password reward.
I've been a Verizon Wireless Subscriber for over 10 Years, they don't give me anything after each passing year and I don't expect anything. They've actually raised my bill and treat me like shit, but oh well.
SE should have not offered a Reward System at all. It's not like the rewards they offer prior or after actually have value or mean anything in the grand scheme of things.
The entitlement of today's society is nauseating.

ugh @ peoples arguments of "entitlement". No one is butthurt. But if you are going to develop and implement a system of "loyalty rewards" and make the year milestone arguably worth less than the 60 day milestone, then don't be surprised if people complain.
And to someones argument about verizon, you do get rewards. You get hundreds of dollars off of your $700 smartphone for re subbing.
Then why are people complaining about something when you get much more by subbing for the game and playing it? Fyi the Japanese aren't complaining anywhere near as much...just saying.
You can't buy the Odin Minion anywhere.
