Why reward players with what is essentially a very small amount of free money?

You're right, they should remove the veteran system - People will complain about being offered "free" stuff rather than realize they were subbing to play a game with a ton more content than 1-3 items every month.

Sorry, but this is just silly. Problems with it being consumable? So is the Fantasia, which is a one-time use that you are stuck with. Hell, many players have no use for Fantasia potions. I have two taking up retainer space right now. Swimsuit set? Please, most 1.0 players already had it, so how was that a worthwhile reward? The fact that the vouchers can potentially save me 25k already makes them more valuable than those previous two rewards.

In the end, these are just fluff items, not meant to be that deep.

I dont mind it much. It is one of the worst ones theyve given, specially given its the 1 year reward, but oh well. They cant keep giving us more and more exclusive items (pets, vanity). Its dangerously close to pay content as it is and the longer the game is live, the longer it takes for new players to get these items. IMO, its best to save those kinds of unique permanent items as in-game content rewards anyway.

That's not comparable and it ignores the fact you obtained multiple mounts either by buying the game or being subbed for a period of time, e.g Coeurl, Ahriman and Behemoth. so you already got your "comparable in-game items" for a vet reward. In-game =/= optional sub rewards you get from this program. If you subbed for 1 year, that's your reward, you subbed to a game you like, you don't need additional handouts lol. I don't care THAT much for XIV, but I feel bad for SE that no matter what they do, they'll always end up with people wanting more handouts if they try to do something nice.

Tell me, where do I buy aetheryte tickets in game? I want to know so I can stock up and not spend gil every teleport for awhile, since we're comparing in-game item costs and all, where are they offered?

Meh, I'll be devils advocate. Lets look at some of the rewards leading up to 360 days:

An airhman mount.
A Behemoth mount
Several minions
The ability to completely change your character
Some outfits

All of these things have vanity purposes and give you something tactile that you can actually use on/with your character. Getting 20k worth of free teleports is lame. Not only is it completely marginal (I can make 20k in 45 min or less), but it further trivializes the "open world" of this instanced game.

Tell you what: why don't we all have our cake and eat it too. Square, make the teleport tickets sellable in game. Then those of us that feel like this loyalty reward is pretty whack can just sell them and buy some buttons in a blanket or something.

I'm not saying I need to get a new mount or whatever but something a bit more permanent or usable like vanity gear would have gone a lot further then some tickets that to me will just be inventory -1 and am very likely to just toss away and never use because I already have millions of gil.
Not to mention I almost rarely teleport anywhere except between Limsa and Revenants Toll and that's going to soon be entirely free anyway between using return and the one time password reward.

I've been a Verizon Wireless Subscriber for over 10 Years, they don't give me anything after each passing year and I don't expect anything. They've actually raised my bill and treat me like shit, but oh well.

SE should have not offered a Reward System at all. It's not like the rewards they offer prior or after actually have value or mean anything in the grand scheme of things.

The entitlement of today's society is nauseating.
