Again, I'll say that the incentives are irrelevant and unnecessary. It doesn't matter if you subscribe in advance or not. You will get the items eventually. I'm saying people who would prioritize items like this and claiming they rightfully paid for them are acting irrational. I'm not for or against better rewards. I don't care. The money I'm paying every month goes to server upkeep and better development options for the team. That's all I care about. If a player would willingly limit their subscription based on these incentives, I have no respect for them because they don't respect real game development and the real costs involved.

it doesnt matter, "they" payed their hard erned $ to be here just as much as u did. when u look at the reward in comparision to the others, its pretty lame. face it, its true, who cares about 50 free teleports when they are already insanely cheap anyway....??? especially when the stuff from earlier was waaaaay better.

i wont be hitting the year long sub milestone for quite a while so it doesnt really affect me at all yet, but people who HAVE been here, and stuck around, i think deserve something better. if u think of it from that perspective, its practicly reversed, why would the devs have such little respect as to reward people who have stuck around for a year with something so meaningless?

its like if one year, u get a nice christmas bonus from ur boss, and the next year u get another nice one, and then the 3rd year since uve grown accustomed to it, u think something nice is going to happen, and when it doesnt u get disappointed. its not the same situation, but its similar enough for comparison.

LOL! You just rebutted the argument in your first two paragraphs with your third. Exactly as you said. It's a bonus that they decide to give, it's not your "salary", as you put in your example, which in this case would be game access, but it's a bonus.

Now, it is your opinion that it's worthless; for me it's a great reward. A minion? When the XI-cross event came out how many people had Shantotto out? How many people summon it now? The tickets, although nothing groundbreaking, are a lot more convenient than most of the stuff we've recieved until now.

What about the people who have been here? We've all been here the same time. Just because you pay a year in advance doesn't mean you've played that year. And, btw, at the end of that year, when I pay for that month I'll actually have payed more than the person who pre-payed because I'm pretty sure paying in bulk gets you discounts. So actually, if we go by the twisted logic of some people in here, because at the end of that year I payed a bit more, I should get more rewards for that milestone.

I won't argue this any further. I've seen a similar comparison already made here, and it baffles me. This is the most petty attitude I've ever seen. You are playing a video game. A video game people worked on for years. They have given you the product, which you bought. They need money to keep it running. They give trinkets for no reason. Someone had to code that. You think it's stupid, and want it changed. You want them to work more than they already have for something that doesn't matter. Is playing an MMO your job? No. Is making and maintaining an MMO theirs? Yes.

The trinkets aren't given for no reason. They're given for loyalty. Thats why they're called "loyalty rewards." And you left out the part of the equation about how paying for the mmo enables the people making the mmo to have a job.
