I was correcting the OP who thought it meant 2 weeks from the letter, not venting frustrationDespite sharing your feelings of "why won't this damn patch just come out?!?!?!?! *rage*", I've come to terms that the game will only be a single iota better of what it is now. Two dungeons with a 1 hour time limit which = 2 hour of content and auto attack.....that's it folks you can go back to your lives now and wait for 1.19.
Perhaps I'm just being pessimistic but, hell, at this point it's hard to feel a landslide victory from patch 1.18. Yoshi stated anywho that its the FIRST step in the battle reform. Just getting the ball rolling is all =/.
My guess on release date of patch 7/20 because it's my birthday =P.
*edit
Oh btw I'm thinking (serious answer) it won't be for about at least a week till the patch is up because if they haven't given an official date by now (July 2nd) then what hope would we have for it being released on monday like some people say =O?

FINAL FANTASY XIV Patch 1.17 Released (Apr. 14) Thursday
FINAL FANTASY XIV Patch 1.16 Released (Mar. 3) Thursday
The last two rolled out on a Thursday, and I predict the same will happen for 1.18.

Yep this is the sad truth... nothing rly to write home about... and the fact that they won't even have party seek up in time for dungeons is inexcusable... 1.19 so far isn't sounding like much just tweaks to everything... 1.20 seems to be THEE patch... even if this patch is the biggest and easily looks that way... the amount of time its taking for these simple meager normal mmo changes is laughable... by the time the games up to snuff if they keep taking this long we'll have GW2, SWTOR and perhaps even a new warcraft xpac... good luck competing with those o.O ... of course the codes prob set up so retarded that it takes forever to implement such simple changes I honestly don't know if I should blame them 8/Despite sharing your feelings of "why won't this damn patch just come out?!?!?!?! *rage*", I've come to terms that the game will only be a single iota better of what it is now. Yeah it does seem daunting, but at this point don't you think most people left playing are pretty much the hardcore FF fans? I mean not unanimously of course, but a strong majority I feel are the people sticking in there no matter what.Yep this is the sad truth... nothing rly to write home about... and the fact that they won't even have party seek up in time for dungeons is inexcusable... 1.19 so far isn't sounding like much just tweaks to everything... 1.20 seems to be THEE patch... even if this patch is the biggest and easily looks that way... the amount of time its taking for these simple meager normal mmo changes is laughable... by the time the games up to snuff if they keep taking this long we'll have GW2, SWTOR and perhaps even a new warcraft xpac... good luck competing with those o.O ... of course the codes prob set up so retarded that it takes forever to implement such simple changes I honestly don't know if I should blame them 8/
Addressing how you said these small changes are taking forever: my guess is (and I'm not trying to sound like sarcastic or something) they are still recovering from tsunami and, let's be honest, this project probably has pretty low funding. SE is still making other games and FF14 is probably their adopted child they regretfully acknowledge but neglect constantly =/.
SWTOR and GW2.....two titans of games wouldn't you say? Hopefully 1.19 has a shorter gap in between 1.18 =(.
Ya all true but the majority of FF fans left a long time ago, 13 and 14 created a sour taste in their mouths. In the long run if the game stays alive which I'm sure it will, it will eventually get to the point of being a full fledged mmo with alot of great things to appreciate... problem is it may be a long time or even too late :S... 1.19 should be shorter, think materia system was only new item then it was just auto attack tweaks and hate/agro management plus a few other small things.Yeah it does seem daunting, but at this point don't you think most people left playing are pretty much the hardcore FF fans? As long as nothings pushed back in 1.18 I'll personally log on(Logged on with 3 months off recently and played a quick behest, honestly love the game still and its potential , just sucks there's nothing to do atm or nothing to work towards >< ), but as some people have said... quest hubs... haven't heard anything in awhile about em >.< Gonna suck too if they're released with nothin rly in em cept... fancy looks lol And hearing jobs won't be out till 1.20 or later is dissapointing... so many great games coming out in fall/winter and early next year, hard to be excited that much anymore 8/
Hmm? I don't know if you remember but this games first big patch came out on Thanksgiving day. So I dont think the 4th would stop them from releasing. Of course Im not saying I think they will seeing as my calendar just rolled over to the 4th 25 minutes ago.
I'll assume it will be on a thursday if anything. Gives them ample time to announce on monday after the weekend.
for those that haven't played ffxi - many of the dungeons/battlegrounds have 60minute timers. The time can be extended by getting rare drops from certain bosses inside, enabling you to stay 2hours or more. Dont necessarily think that you gonna have 2 raids of "60 minutes then its all content done". Thats not how it works in ffxi and may be the same for ffxiv.Yep this is the sad truth... nothing rly to write home about... and the fact that they won't even have party seek up in time for dungeons is inexcusable... 1.19 so far isn't sounding like much just tweaks to everything... 1.20 seems to be THEE patch... even if this patch is the biggest and easily looks that way... the amount of time its taking for these simple meager normal mmo changes is laughable... by the time the games up to snuff if they keep taking this long we'll have GW2, SWTOR and perhaps even a new warcraft xpac... good luck competing with those o.O ... of course the codes prob set up so retarded that it takes forever to implement such simple changes I honestly don't know if I should blame them 8/
You have multiple paths, multiple NM's to spawn inside, depending on the route you take. you may need to take one route on the first night, to pop an nm, then take a different route to pop another NM the next night, maybe using an item that dropped from the first NM to pop a different one.
Just my 2 cents !
Just because its 4th of July it doesnt meant the other 6.1 billion are doing what the americans are doing on that day.
Just because its 4th of July in your country why wouldnt SE release it? They are a japanese company with customers from all continents !
Heck if they delayed releasing stuff because of public holidays then patches would never go out - its always a public holiday in some country or other.
Yes...theres an OUTSIDE of America. *gasp*
