Patch date

So it's been two weeks since the 6/14 letter that estimated it would take about two weeks to finish 1.18. When's the release date? Whether it's delayed again or set for sometime next week, I'd like to know.

They said 2 weeks from the release date I think (which was mid to late june). We didn't know the June release date so its hard to predict the July release date. Pretty craft lol. I'm not expecting it for about 2 weeks tbh...

Well you have to remember the Japanese are very considerate people and know we have July 4th just 2 days away. I would expect to see it this week between the 5th-8th. Also they have some type of festivities going on about this time if I am not mistaken.

Hmm? I don't know if you remember but this games first big patch came out on Thanksgiving day. So I dont think the 4th would stop them from releasing. Of course Im not saying I think they will seeing as my calendar just rolled over to the 4th 25 minutes ago.

It's a Japanese company. Of course an American holiday isn't going to stop them >_>

Just because its 4th of July it doesnt meant the other 6.1 billion are doing what the americans are doing on that day.

Just because its 4th of July in your country why wouldnt SE release it? They are a japanese company with customers from all continents !

Heck if they delayed releasing stuff because of public holidays then patches would never go out - its always a public holiday in some country or other.

SE has never released a patch in FFXI on either an American or Japanease holiday day. They have, however, released on the same week as a holiday. If you remember correctly they delayed a patch that was scheduled on Memorial day to the day after.

WOTG was released in 2007, the 20th of November in North America and the 22nd of November in Japan and Europe. The Patch for the expansion pack went live on Thanksgiving day in the United States. Many many many PC users didnt get the disc till Saturday of that week.

I remember that! In fact I think the shipment to my old store (EB Games) was delayed because of that (Canadian, ours is in Oct).
