I would love to glamor odin's armor. Best looking armor in the game.

Sadly there's a simple solution that Square either hasn't thought of or for some odd reason refuses to do...
Just break the item into multiple pieces... sure people will at that point only equip the chest or gloves maybe but isn't that point of glamour... customization.
And for those of you thinking that it's going to be a problem for those that already have it all Square has to do is create a turn-in at a vendor where you turn in Herklaedi and get a box (like the choco barding boxes) with all 4 pieces. That same box then costs 5 odin's mantles at the vendor.
@Square please do this, Odin is such a waste without the ability to glamour all his pieces.
Nooo, I wish I'd found this thread before I bought it, why does it say projectable yes?
Same here Shadray.
Wish I had gotten the sword X(
Come on SE, No one buys Herklaedi for the stats, pretty much it's soul purpose for being in the game is to be used as glamour fodder for appearance sake.
This can be done one of two ways, both of which I think are rather simple to implement.
1) As suggested before by Endgame19, break it into parts. You just need to cut the skin into it's components, apply it to the relevant objects, and then use one of the existing vendors to allow people to trade in the uni-suit for the parts. Simple, and it uses systems already in the game.
2) If redoing the artwork is not an option as suggested in 1, then prioritize the layering of appearance. This can be done from a pure coding side of things. Place the chest as the priority layer, then legs, then remaining gear, then jewelry. (You already do this to some degree as gloves layer over rings hiding them, and certain chests layer over necklaces)
Hmmm in the event the pieces are larger - like the chocobo suit, cutting them off into body and legs would create a 'puffed up' look when not worn together... in other words other items worn with them would not fit.
So its sacrificing flexibility (Cant glamour) to have more shapes (get a 'full suit' look)
Hopefully they can solve it by just adding a system where if you glamour say the Odin to your Body - the other slots hands feet etc become locked from glamours till the Odin glamour is dispelled on that gear set

they could even bring out say an i90 all-in-one item that could be glamoured onto, they introduce new items just about every patch so this shouldn't provide any coding issues
Well I sure wish I knew this was not going to be projectable ( even tho it says it is) before i got it...![]()
or they could think about how they're designing their game when they are doing it in the first place. wild, i know
The Herlaedi that you get from the Open World Odin fight is still a full body piece and has limited usability. HOWEVER, they have released the armor as seperate item drops from the Urth's Fount TRIAL so that people can glamor it properly. This is a level 50 trial that is unlocked from a quest series starting at Urianger that takes you to Gridania called "Primal Fear" if I recall correctly.
