    So, why play anything?

    Turns 6 to 9 are probably going to DF on 2.4. Wait until then.

    Oh, wait. It'll be obsolete by the time an hypothetical 2.6 happens!

    Lol! Either the last patch before the expansion is either 2.5 or 2.6. At patch 2.5 FFXIV will be 1.3 years old in Novemeber-ish 2014. 2.6 game will be 1.6 years old. It's possible 2.6 won't happen cuz a possible expansion will bring it to 3.0. Who can tell though. Going by how FFXI did their expansions they normally came once every year or 2.

    PS: I know this wasn't what you were talking about, I am just being a bit random :P.

    I'm just not playing until 2.9. All gear will be irrelevant prior to 2.9 anyway. Why spend the effort? It's not like I need gear from 2.2 till 2.8 to do 2.9...

    Apologies, I think his point was, if the static breaks apart before 2.2, then they might not actually have a static for 6-9. Or have to rehash it out finding a new static.

    Which is not the end of the world, mind you. But it is frustrating to say the least.

    my FC is very excited for 2.2 and we even do speed trials on EX Primals to remain competitive so that we can be ready to world first 2.2 stuff.
