    NVIDIA GEFORCE 770 drivers

Tried previous drivers with same result. the drivers work for a few days then start crashing game. not sure why it would work just fine then just start crashing. if anyone has any input it would be appreciated. Only happens for ffxiv. crashes to desktop.

Have you installed any other updates? 0xc0000005 means that ARR is trying to read memory that it shouldn't be. It could be caused by a wide range of issues, not just graphics card drivers (which is irritating, because it's a pain to narrow it down to what's causing the problem).

Here is what I have done so far -
Uninstalled Win 8.1 (planned on doing that anyway) Reloaded new HDD with win 7 OS
Uninstalled and reinstalled the game - also went as far as to get the physical disk from Wally world
Ran at the windows command line GUI sfc /scannow - no corruption was found
Updated BIOS on my Motherboard - EVGA Z87 FTW - -- Killed overclocking (had it set at 4.0)
Rolled back video card drivers to 10/2013
Reseated memory, CPU chip, all HDDS and SSD's
ensured NIC software is at the correct firmware levels
Disabled several programs - Wireshark auto loading at startup, Steam, etc

    Still happens at random.

    Laptop - Dell insperon 1707 series - CPU I7 - 3.0 GHZ - 3.4 in turbo mode
    8GB Ram DDR3
    OS win 7 enterprise
    Radion 4600 HD - 1GB DDR3
age of laptop - 5 yrs old - Wireless connection - ran in the same areas - no issues (with a card that ATI no longer supports)

I am actually running a GTX770 Phantom and having no troubles even on SLI. Did you do a clean driver installation with driver fusion?
I had troubles with the previous nvidia driver version but now 334.89 it's ok.

I did not use the driver fusion software - I downloaded from Nvidia's automatic updates that seems to run every monday - current driver I am on is 331.65 - its the driver that came with the card. I wonder if there is something funky with NVidia's automatic driver update?

Evga customer support was suggesting that I may need to replace the power supply because I salvaged it from a Dell 630I - its a 750W power supply (which doesn't make much sense unless i am overclocking the heck out of the rig.) I was thinking about a Thermatake 1000w power supply, if I had to replace it.

Avoid the Nvidia automatic updates. Try downloading Driver Fusion and your latest nvidia drivers, uninstalling your graphics drivers, running driver fusion to remove any leftovers, rebooting and installing the latest nvidia driver.

I have figured out some things in regards to this error -
I have 2400 mhz memory and the CPU overclocked to 4600 - at first I thought it was the drivers for the video card - however I was reading up on the error codes that I have been getting and found that FFXIV is not overclock friendly ( whats up with that SE )

Solution - and it has been tested -
First I installed Driver fusion - uninstalled the graphics drivers - reloaded the 770GTX drivers to current version. Rebooted rig.
Then I dropped the memory speed in BIOS to 2133 mhz from 2400mhz and dropped my CPU chip speed to 4000 from 4600 (I 7 4770 processor)
rebooted rig again to ensure settings took
started FFXIV - ran in the most busy area in the game for appox 1 hr (mind you when I was getting the errors it would be every 15 minutes.) No issues.
Then sat in LL for another hr waiting for CT in DF - no issues there
Ran CT - absolutely no issues either
After CT - ran Moogle - no issues
and to test out to ensure that I wouldn't get the dreaded windows fatal error - I ran Garuda - no issues there.

So it looks like to me anyway that SE doesn't like overclocking on their games for some reason - maybe I am wrong here but after making the modifications listed - I am no longer having errors. Also I turned off Aliasing as well
