Though the screenshots of the new Bard (and possibly Archer, if you're into that sort of thing) gear look nothing like the AF2 gear set in concept art, you can't deny that there are similarities between the Artifact/Mythology set and what we're looking @ here:

Most notably being the cloth extensions with the metal/gold accessory at the end, shoes, waist having more cloth wrapped around with a fancy buckle and general asymmetry.
Again, not saying this is AF2, just that I'm genuinely surprised how similar it is to the AF1.

What? They look nothing a like. AF armor is designed to be the traditional FF costumes.

That....looks nothing like the AF Bard gear. Sorry, I don't see it. Bard outfit was almost all light, free cloth. That outfit does not follow that idea

im hoping this lala WHM is only wearing i90 crafted.
Because, to my eyes it looks too generic for a so called AF2. None of the WHM gear elements we've always seen on all WHM throughout FF games appear on this outfit ( the hood and the little red triangles ). It looks like something both SCH and WHM would use, apart from the weapon of course.

I was honestly hoping for AF2 to be released alongside a level cap increase given that's the only way some Jobs will get expanded abilities (like Summoners getting more summons). That said, the bard armor looks nothing like the AF2 concept art publicized by Yoshida himself in his own hot little hands.



If you ask me, the armor from the Maelstrom trailer looks alot more like proper Relic (the armor you got from Dynamis in XI) in that it takes elements of AF and turns it to 11 (hah, see what I did there?). So no, we aren't getting AF2 yet... but if we get AF2 while the level cap is still 50 I will cry a river.
