Except Square hasn't nerfed any of the content of the game, and doesn't plan to. I think the only dungeon getting nerfed is Pharos Sirius.


Like I said, you just fail to see that the game you're asking for can't exist correctly. Square designed the game to be mission-reward based because it gives people a clear goal to reach. Adding Open World mechanics to that clashes by design, unless they're made to fit in, which is probably not what you're asking for because you'd probably call it too easy.

There's no difference. MMOs dont sell themselves, it has to travel by reviews and word of mouth, which it's clearly doing to go from shitfaced 1.0 to a reboot with over 1.5M registered copies sold.


It means people are praising the game. It's the reason I joined, because unlike XIV 1.0, I couldn't find any particularly bad criticisms about the game on the internet.


As long as Square continues to add content to it (like in 2.2) and keep it relevant, then this probably won't stop. This is also why Square is adding Echo buff to older content. It's all about players joining with forward progression, and the older the game gets, the more forward progression they'll have.
