Suggestion to reduce abuse.

Regardless of role abuse is unacceptable. 2 things which would instantly remove much of the abuse towards players

1. Provide healers with ability to flag an abusive player in the raid/party frames (tick box) If the flag exists then a status change to be placed on that character so that they cannot receive heals from the player that has flagged them, also possibly adding a graphic for all to see flag placed .. name and shame! is perhaps another option.
2. Add a right click report facility for all players which would not only report the abuser but also send the last five minutes of the chat log so that they can instantly see on receipt details. It can be difficult to continue playing, taking screen shots and filing reports in instance while the abuse is rolling - this would resolve that.

I did as you asked I posted the link to this on reddit, it would seem an emotive subject and I had not thought about the abuse by healers that could occur as a result of such a facility as I suggested in "1" but if nothing else it will perhaps bring alternative suggestions to help all deal with it so that people can play for fun and not have to tolerate bad behaviour directed both toward them and their fellow players, it just seems to be accepted generally that its ok to type terrible insults and swearing to other players, I was merely trying to think of a way that we the community could help to eradicate it.

The best way to stop abuse is to keep reporting abusive players, once players are starting to get banned, and the posts go start to go up, people will start to work out there are repercussions and that it's not worth loosing your character over.

whaoo..I am curious to know what prompted this idea, maybe if you explained why you want that healers have power of life and death over the others by using a flag it would help understand and maybe people explain to you that maybe isnt such a good idea.

Based on your proposal, I do not agree with this idea, healers are players like any others, healers are also all the other classes and jobs unless you want to flag a specific player and so discriminate a player (name) based on your likes and dislike? which is what it would end up with.

There are too few healers and tanks primarily because of the abuse that they get, that said ive seen dps abused terribly too - It was more of a deterrent so that folks wouldnt feel they have a perogative to abuse players at all, perhaps it is that I had not thought it through sufficiently. Wow has a right click facility I thought that would help everyone to police our own community if it existed in ffxiv. I won't be getting into a verbal battle about it and won't be posting further on the subject.
