Can't unlock AK because AV is too laggy - advice please

Hi all,

I'm trying to complete two quests here.

1 - Is for the relic quest line to unlock AK but I need to complete AV. I can't because of the lag in AV.

2 - I can't rank up within Twin Adders because I can't complete AV due to the lag.

Am I really stuck because of this? Can I unlock something so I can progress anywhere?

I was under the impression that you can go for AK without doing AV...

you used to be able to unlock it from the grand company, however, i believe this is no longer the case

i'm also having trouble unlocking AK on my alt because of AV's unbearable lag

Yeah, I've just read it could be unlock through GC but this was changed to AV in a patch? Is this correct?

AV has been laggy for me and all who I ever asked since weeks, it's impossible to complete it.

Sadly, unless SE does something to it, people won't stop do farming it (cause of the lag)

Because of this, I currently can't make any progress in terms of these quests for my character.

Is it cause of people farming the first room for EXP that it's so laggy?

Wait for the patch and cross your fingers?

Improvements made to the frequency with which player positioning is updated in patch 2.1 will now apply to all instances.

Not that that will necessarily help with lag, but it might mean they're making other changes to instance servers as well.

So that's why it took us so much time to complete it the other day... this may help some of you, we helped a friend to pass it like a week ago, we went prepared with an optimal set up, war, sch, smn and brd, none got a 90k but our tank (the friend we were helping) had lots of trouble evading breaths.

I was helping with heals as smn and had titan out to help the tank and keep the boss in case she died.

Except for the tank, the rest of us were ilvl80-90.
