"Alot" is not a word. Allot is but it's unlikely to be what you want, try "A lot".
You've moved through a lot of mmo's and I have a feeling you either have to pick one and learn to stick with it, or maybe learn that each mmo is meant to be a short lived experience for yourself. I had a friend just like you that would last 6 or so months in a game then want to leave cause she found a "better" game. I really don't see them making drastic changes to any of the classes in the near future...
Edit: I agree with the scholar remark. A floating quill would've been better than a fairy to me lol.

Expect a support/dps mage type in the future. Red mage, no doubt.I would trade best burst dps for swift cast raise or melee dmg increased debuff in a heart beat. Burst damage in end game is hardly needed at the moment. T4 is the only end game fight where a BLM's AoE makes the fight much faster. BRD might not have the best dps, but at least they bring way more utility to the table than any other dps class.
I am just saying, would it hurt to give BLM a debuff spell that increases melee dmg or an interrupt? BLM does not even have swift cast raise. The only thing blm brings to the utility table is apocatastasis, which is less than desirable. Either give BLM utility like the rest of the DPS classes have, make way more end game boss fights that require intensive AoE, or make them the glass cannon they are supposed to be.
Sorry for delay in response, obviously I don't -just- troll the forums :P
@Trolls So many fails, lol, at least READ the first paragraph before you post to something, was trying to reply to everyone and if I didn't you are either trolling or being arbitrary.
@Galactimus I'm aware, hense the reply, not sure what you were trying to say there, what I was doing was scoffing at the classes, not the person replying :P
@Flickalado (Not trying to be rude, and I apologize if I say anything that comes off as such.) You're assuming I've never done so? Its called reply value, very few games have that these days, and once you get over a certain gimmick/process its pointless to keep doing something that's mind-numbingly redundant (mmos didn't used to be like this...), this is supposed to be a game, not a job as many players would have it be. Also I played Discworld from 1993 to 2012 and WoW for like 6 years I think it was, so don't gimme that. Lastly, I'm with a group of players that constantly challenge ourselves, sticking to a single game for us is pointless (we play all sorts of stuff), thats like saying play COD 1 instead of the newest version because you've gotten used to the mechanics and shouldn't bother figuring out a new game.
@Licus You're absolutely right on the Bards crying though, they were never expected/meant to the a strong DD class...and to those that want to argue that, they're bards and you probably fail at understanding what that class is supposed to do. FFXIV's version of the class is just another DD, so may as well roll DRG or SMN... (As a WHM I'd prefer you did more damage, I don't need ballad if the bosses die quickly enough).
We're talking about originality, FFXIV is most likely going to fail or be nerfed into something people can grind though without the most basic of strategies or thought needed, it repeats a-lot of the same stuff as other mmos and heralds it as "genre defining", take for example housing, Discworld has had that since '92, crafting is nothing new at all to mmos, the only new thing FFXIV brought to the table was FATEs and its actually a concept I've seen before. This game could have very easily been so much more, but simply for the lack of trying or caring, its just another mmo genre clone.
In my opinion, to much effort was put into things that hold no replay value and not enough for fights/classes (and ...*cough* Jobs...) to develop skill for the players themselves. (Which is ironically the same reason we left Discworld, lol)
The Point Being (tm), does the player base (on majority) want to keep this redundant pace or do we want something fresh like many of us were expecting coming into FFXIV? The only way to show that incentive to game producers and software companies is to converse it, thus the reason I created this thread. And for you trolls, if you see an issue with that, then you're the reason games these days are so boring...
