    (NEW?) Wishlist Thread!

    Not sure if there's something similar already, but nothing came up when I did a quick search earlier, so I figured I should create one myself.

    Basically in this thread we will list down what we wish to see and/or improve in the future while following a basic, organized format which I'll describe below.

    Type: Simple / Complex
    • Simple: Something already existing or existed in the game before which can be implemented without major changes (ex. re-adding of Chocobo Mask)
    • Complex: Something that required major changes on the coding of the game (ex. queuing for dungeon while Chocobo is summoned)
    Category: System / Dungeon / Companion / Vanity / Macros / Items

    So the basic format will be something like this:
    <Name> (<Type>, <Category>)
    <Basic Description / Suggestions (optional)>

    Please feel free to add on to the list and hopefully we can catch the eye of developers and help make the game even more enjoyable than before!

    Without further ado, I'm gonna start the ball rolling!

    Chocobo Mask (Simple, Item)

    Odin Round Shield (Simple, Item)

    Odin Cape (Simple/Complex, Item)
    I believe this wasn't implemented because it's graphical intensive for the PS3 and lower specs PCs, it would be nice to have it even if only visible to the users themselves. Maybe set it in such a way that only those who set the graphic settings to Ultra are able to view it?

    Sleipnir (Simple, Item)
    I don't mind farming 50 Mantles for this, please let us have it! >_<

    Fantasia / Name Changing Potion (Simple, Item)
    $5 USD each seems about right for me. More users buying = better profit for company, it's a win-win situation. I just wonder how much workload all those frequent changes will place on the servers... Maybe a 1 month cool down (2 or 3 months for name changing potion) per potion or something?

    Preventing players to leave / Applying 30 mins DF lockout to players that leave the dungeon while others are still viewing a cut scene (Complex, System)
    Recently there's been a raising numbers of tanks and healers who left the dungeon right away if it isn't Ifirit / Titan (story mode) while another player is still in the cut scene. Doing so enable them to re-queue without any penalty. As a DPS I can't describe enough how annoying that is after queuing for an hour before finally entering into a dungeon.

    Numeric Digits on Hot Skill Icon (Complex, System)
    Placing a translucent numeric digits for skills that are still on cool down make it easier to identify how much longer til the skill is back up again. Sometimes you think a skill is ready to use but the silver tick just decides to troll you -_-

    New Macro Tags (Complex, Macro)
    This one needs a little explanation. Basically I'm hoping that we will get two types of macro tag where:
    1. <m.ac> tag, will do nothing if it fails to execute.
    2. <ac> tag, will perform like a normal action if it fails to execute.

    ex.
    /micon "Stoneskin"
    /ac "Stoneskin" <t>
    /ac "Stoneskin" <tt>

    Let's say I'm a PLD OT, this macro used to work if I tried to SS the MT while targeting the boss, because when /ac "Stoneskin" <t> fails to execute, it will fall through to execute /ac "Stoneskin" <tt>. However, a recent patch render it useless as it now behave like the normal action. So when /ac "Stoneskin" <t> fails to execute, it will just cast it on myself instead, and failing to run /ac "Stoneskin" <tt>. Having a seperated <m.ac> tag helps to solve this issue, and will probably help me save a benediction again if the target user run out of range T_T

    I'd like a more interesting concept for the materia system. Something along the lines of : new materia types ( job-specifique, support) and linked slots to be able to combine some materia power ( ala FF7).

    I forgot to mentioned this on the first post (and couldn't edit since I already hit the character limit), but this is a wish list, not a demand list. Whatever ideals / suggestion posted here are just something we hope to have to help enhanced our enjoyment of the game, so please do not rant or bug our friendly staff if your ideals / suggestion doesn't get implemented. Also, I do not claim credit for any ideals / suggestions here. Some of these are what I read elsewhere and agreed with. I just started this thread hoping to consolidate everything and hopefully to catch the developer's attention and maybe help make the game a little better. With that said, please don't hesitate to share whatever brilliant ideal / suggestion you might have!

    Allows a player to queue up for running content only. Could prevent tanks or healers from queueing and draw back instantly since they didn't get a running instance.

    Edit:

    [] Materia iLvl (Complex, System)
    Assign ilevels to Materias, once they are melded into a piece of equipment the iLvl increases by that amount.

    This is a nice ideal. I was hoping that if we meld a specific item in a specific order, we can get some bonus effect. Maybe say a penta melded Vanya Robe of Healing with a specific order and materia will gain an extra bonus of 5% chance the next stoneskin will be cost free or something. And while we are at it, maybe a full set of gear will gain some small bonus as well. Like full Fuma MNK set will have permanent Fist of the Wind effect, but it doesn't stack. Nothing overkill, but something small to change the playing style a little will be nice.

    This might be a little pushy.. It will suck for the good tanks and healers that wanna farm for a specific item from the first boss and every time they queue for running instance they got a mid or end progress queue. And this remind me of:

    Duty Finder Lockout for Players who withdrawn from DF X number of times within Y number mins
    It's really annoying when you queue you finally get the missing tank / healer after waiting for hours and then you run into a player that is fishing for in progress queue. Then after they withdrawn you got to re-queue again. I believe there's a priority queue for this kind of situation but sometimes it can still take too long during off peak period. Maybe lock out the player from DF for 15 mins if they withdraw 3 times within 5 mins or something.

    Upgrade Combo system aka Skillchains (Complex, system)

    Thats something i really miss as a party experience. Nowadays, you can do your rotation alone without even looking at others members, its just you versus the fight. The skillchain system was easy enough to make people play together and attain a better group cohesion. It might limit in some ways too the spammy festival we're experiencing.

    You would even fell more pressure on certains fights, like you have to wait for your BLM to get enough MP to unleash is powerful spells on the magic burst, but the timing is really short and the boss is about to launch a deadly spell...You proceed to start the skillchain, magic burst is enabled and pam, 1 second before the boss abilty, the BLM spell goes off and you win!

    Well, thats the kind of stuff i'd like to see more emphasize, a real group play, not playing solo with 7 others people

    This could be pretty tough, because SE have to keep the balance between causal and hardcore players. It's going to become even tougher if you factor in random strangers from DF as well. However, if they can add in as a small bonus on top of what we have now if we successfully pull said party combo off, it might actually work for the best of both world. So static skilled players can benefit and causal players wouldn't get their head bitten off for falling behind.
