Yes because the OP of that post was talking about the overall of both western and easterns preffered methods when he was referring to "traditional", wasnt he? Oh wait he wasnt.

What the triangle method does is ensure that it's easier for the tanks to survive. Without having to tank both Garuda and Sup, the MT and OT already have a lot on their plates. Watching for spiny stacks, making sure he's in the the right position to ensure minimum stacks on sisters and be in range of heals etc. This method just gives them one less thing to worry about. Kudos to you if you're able to manage all of this while watching for sisters frictions to mitigate wicked wheel. A lot of tanks, frankly, just aren't that good.As a tank who mastered garuda ex I don't see this triangle method providing any advantage over the 'traditional' way...
of course the workload on tanks is lightened, but it falls onto dps and healer instead...
I'd rather they do their jobs properly which is to heal and dps, while I do mine which is to dodge/mitigate damage from slipstream/double wicked wheels
By letting DPS tank chirada instead and spreading garuda and suparna out between MT and OT, we give the tank an extra chance of surviving. It helps that Chirada auto attacks for practically nothing even on a DPS. The only attacks to worry about when they tank her are downburst and slipstream. Downburst damage can be easily dealt with by 1) having DPS stack together and 2) having a WHM cure III them right after it's done. Really simple. Slipstream has a long ass cast bar which is also easily avoidable by dps that notices. With really good dps, Chirada goes down really really fast without the use of LB and we don't even have to worry about downburst at all.
And to address people calling this method slow, I usually clear Garuda Ex these days in DF within 10-12 mins max of starting the fight. My quickest clear was in under 7 mins with the use of LB3 on Garuda at the end of the first vortex phase.
The western method requires overgeared MT, so im sure this fight was designed with the triangle method in mind. Well western players have the "be overgeared or die in hell" mentality, so it suits it.

You don't have to have an overgeared MT, if you run one healer, you can easily dps the sisters fast enough to avoid double wicked wheel, smart cooldown use and everyone avoiding feathers it makes for an easy fight without too much gears.

Oh don't get me wrong, triangle can be fast. But objectively speaking killing Suparna first should be faster. Not really sure what you're trying to say.
If you're killing a sister before wheels, you're quite heavily overgearing your DPS instead. Not to mention combined with solo heal it's a recipe for disaster if something goes wrong. Yes, of course it's possible to do it that way. Solo tank/heal is also possible, but I wouldn't recommend either of those are strategies for new or undergeared people.

Really solo healing isn't about gear at all, I think I was Ilvl 71 white mage first time I healed it, having the extra dps makes it to where your dps don't have to be as geared, and if you communicate with your tank, if they are going to eat a double wicked wheel, swiftcast stoneskin on them, I always eye for an eye going into twister phase, and virus garuda as soon as she and Suparna land from their jump, one maybe two tank cooldowns, and be prepped with a cure two, wicked wheel is easily survivable. Solo healing really relies on the rest of the group avoiding all unnecessary damage, and knowing you are going to be the one eating the frictions, so stand by yourself, and be sure to keep yourself healed/stoneskinned.If you're killing a sister before wheels, you're quite heavily overgearing your DPS instead. This requires an over-geared set of DPS then.
Full focus on Chirata with a DPS group of varied gear, has Double Wicked Wheel hit twice. With our tank nearing ilvl 90, he still needs cooldowns and shielding to survive it.
Our group has not tried the Tiangle method, but I may suggest it in and effort to make farming garuda quicker it may work well with a heavier Melee DPS group.
Either way, this is a case of do whatever works the best for the group you're fighting in. Garuda Ex is best done with a static anyways.

I didn't even know a strategy other than the "triangle" was used until a couple days ago. xD I think it's nice to try different strats until you find one that works best for you and your party (non-DF). What's rough is when you have a mix of people (DF/PF) who are familiar only with one or the other and work against each other during the fight.
Did it last week with 4 Monks.
I think we made the right choice.

The general pickup strategy seems to be the worst possible one, I have no idea why people do it that way. Most of them kill Chirada first (which makes no sense to me) so the MT has to deal with tanking Garuda+Surpana, dodging 2 sets of slipstreams, Feather Rain and sitting there eating double wicked wheels trying desperately not to die to them before the dps finally hurry up and kill Surpana.
It's a ridiculously dangerous way for a pickup party to do this fight and it really needs to stop.
