    I think instead of changing Summoner they should keep it as it is, and then make a new class called Evoker, which would do things like a classic FF summoner would. It makes sense to me. As a summoner, you're summoning the presence of that primal. As an evoker, you're evoking (or invoking) the power of that primal. Slight difference, but in the Evokers case they're just unleashing a single brutal attack, like Diamond Dust.

    By definition the Summoner right now is an Evoker in the classic Final Fantasy sense because Evokers are low lvl Summoner's that summon the essence of Deities and High Spirits while a Summoner summons full fledged Deities and have sustain bursts damage. Rydia was the only Summoner that wasn't in add on other than this game because she went through the progression of being an Evoker than becoming a Summoner as she ranked up.
