Okay, seriously, we may be "resurrected" Allagan Summoners, but the fact remains that we are significantly weaker than the original Allagan Summoners. For reference, we exist in a world nearly a millennia (possibly longer) after the original Allagan Empire fell. In fact the only organization currently in existence on Eorzea that we know can be certain was actually contemporary with the Allagan Empire is in fact the Ascians themselves. The only reason I say this is because their leader claimed to have been hoping he lived long enough to see Bahamut rise again. It seemed to be a surprise to virtually everyone else on the continent of Eorzea (including the Garleans who merely thought they were going to crash the moon into the planet) that Bahamut actually resided inside the moon to begin with. It's actually somewhat amazing the Scions were able to seal the damned beast, meaning that the Sharlyan's were probably also contemporary with the Allagan Empire.
