You're good at the game? You're an elitist.
You're using a parser to better yourself? Elitist.
You're making suggestions on how someone can improve themselves? E l i t i s t.
You wipe a farm party constantly but you're having fun playing your way. Nah you're fine dude.
This community astounds me at times.

Okay so we make Tanks get one shotted by caster mobs and we have blm/smn tank these bosses ? rofl.

We all know that tissues are the best anti-magic gear. Seriously... While I agree that tin-cans (our current DL gear) should be fried by a thunder spell, how do you manage a fireball thrown at your BLM then ? Should he burn alive ? I wonder..

Let's also Nerf tanks health, drop the heals for healers. They heal for too much. I'm thinking WHM should cure only a little more than a paladin, so like 300? You know what? Let's just drop healers and tanks period!

You mean kind of like how a black mage (If those trailers are any indication) charges a spell made out of pure fire not 12 inches away from their face and oversized hat without it being set a blaze? Maybe I am thinking too much about it but I'd assume that a bunch of people literally playing with fire as an occupation would take proper steps and precautions to find a way to not get hurt by/mitigate the damage of fire that they are not fooling around with. I figured it would make far more sense for those who mess with magic to know how to not get hurt by magic far more than a bunch of guys in tin cans. And that it could be weaved into a gameplay mechanic. But silly me, I forgot the rules of MMO's. If it isn't tolkien'sk/WoW logic, keep it to yourself.

As a Paladin/Warrior myself, Magic still hurts me a lot (Because I can't parry/block it, even though most of them can be avoided by running behind the monster, some will hit you no matter what)... so, no thanks! As for PvP, can't tell. I don't like PvP, I didn't even make the quest for it, but your suggestion would hit my PvE activities as well.

What? That's not even close to what I'm suggesting. In fact it's the bastardization of what I'm saying. Have you considered a future into politics? A healer is perfect as is. It does it's job, to heal. It has offensive capabilities but it's not central to it's character. A Warrior being able to defend against physical as well as he does magic makes little to no sense. Hell if you played any other Final Fantasy where you'd have a stat difference per your job you'd notice it. For example, Final Fantasy 9. A magic attack is coming, Vivi will take less damage than Zidane. However if it's a physical attack, Zidane will take less damage than Vivi (Although this is dependent on what's equip, my point still stands.) I really think the WoW/classic MMO approach needs to be shifted to the side for something different.
And this isn't new to Final fantasy in the least. Casters took less damage from magic than other classes did.

Part of that high damage that comes with these classes is the fact they are 'glass cannons', you are sacrificing that survivability for increased damage. Giving these classes the ability to survive multiple hits or large amounts damage or negatiing an requirement to dodge attacks as they could survive better than other classes would break major game mechanics
