    Eating Good in the Neighborhood?

I was browsing the market boards for some fine dining to help with my stats a bit. There's not much of a variety of foods out there! I mean, where's the dex and str stuff? Where's the expensive top choice morsels?

I think we need more choice on the foods that are offered. Give the culinarians something to cook, the fishers something to fish, the botanist something to bot - oops

Much like our choices in gear, our choices of food are rather bland.

Foods only include Vit, and secondary stats. All tho Det can be a generic primary stat if that makes sense.
With that in mind the only foods I use/recommend are.

Buttons in a blanket: Vit/Det/Crit. Pretty much the go to food for almost everything DPS(if don't need +acc) or Heal Potency.
Mulled Tea: Vit/Pie/SS. Pretty much whm food when you want the extra mp.
La Noscean Toast: Vit/Parry/Acc. Tank food.

    Others:
Stuffed Cabbage: Vit/Acc/Crit. If you built around other stats and need high acc food.
Deviled Eggs: Vit/Crit/Acc. Highest Crit food, also adds acc.

The high end food (2-star stuff) you probably don't see too much off. The max of a stat it can have is higher, but.. the percentage it has attached is to low to get you to that max stat (with our current gear options).. so many times the no-star highest (stalkster listed them above) are actually the best, even though the max of the stat is lower. Even when the 2 star does offer a better option, it's often only 1-2 of a single stat being better, and that doesn't really make it worth putting in the time and effort to go get the timed gathering nodes, and materia out a cooking set in order to ensure HQ for those items.

There aren't any food items that boost class main combat stats. Just VIT + your choice of some secondary stat spreads.

In the case of DPS food, secondary stats are enhanced rather than primary stats.

If food provided +STR/DEX/INT, you would only use food that gave the most STR/DEX/INT since primary stats give the greatest return on DPS. As it is currently designed, food can either accentuate your strengths (more crit, DET, SS) or cover your weaknesses (usually accuracy).
