people bot regardless of the situation if they know they can get away with it and have the moral standing to do so(in other words they dont care if its cheating)

I think craft botting would be at least somewhat diminished if they made ranking up crafts less soul-sucking. That's all people really want here. I know you have a lot invested in your craft ranks and probably don't want anyone to have an easier/more enjoyable system than you had to gruel through, but this should still matter to you. Think about what kind of system you'd want to use when they raise the level cap. Do you really want the game to still be "watch movies and enter-spam" when you need to rank up again?

I can also understand the desire to keep high rank crafting as "exclusive" as possible to avoid saturating the supply side of the market. Unfortunately, that's futile because we both know craft bots aren't going away, and they'll still be there lowering the value of everything we make.

Lastly, I strongly believe there are ways to remove tedium from craft grinding without trivializing crafting as a whole. For example, requiring rare material at high ranks would keep high rank crafting difficult to attain even if you could do the synths automatically (think Goldsmithing).
