Party - Can't cast Raise while engage versus enemies.

Okay, I asked this question on LS chat, but I guess folks missed it.

I just noticed recently that--on WHM and BLM, while in a party--I cannot cast Raise when the party is engaged in battle.

After the battle is over, then I can cast Raise.

This hasn't been always true correct?

Because I have cast Resurrection while on SMN while in a party during dungeons and primal fights.

Is this a bug? or has this always been the case?

Well BLM does not have a raise spell, so that's why you can't raise as a BLM. With WHM I believe at a certain level it allows you to cast raise during battle. I've never had a problem raising during battle so I'm not sure at what level it becomes available at.

WHM gets the trait that allows them to raise during battle at level 28. Any class you cross class Raise to also cannot use it during battle. Resurrection is a different skill.

Battle raise is a trait so your whm is probably low level

Yeah "Raise" is a lvl 12 Conjurer res that cant be used in combat until you get the trait. Ressurection is a lvl 22 arcanist spell that can Res in combat, and be used for SMN. I wouldnt recommend cross classing Raise ever because you wont have the trait. I also DO recommend putting Resurrection on you FIRST cross class slot so you can use it in low lvl dungeons even being sinked down.

Also, Raise can only be cross-classed to PLD and SCH, not SMN...and of course all classes (except CNJ, for obvious reasons). Resurrection is limited to ACN, SCH and SMN...
