I still feel that given the extra year, XIV could have launched with it's original soul intact and offered us all something truly different and fun, instead of the FFXI 2.0 direction it's increasingly headed in. I've been playing FFXI since 2003, and continue to love it, but I don't need a 2nd iteration of it. I want to play FFXIV.
Aside from the graphics, there wasn't a single redeeming thing about this game throughout alpha, beta, open beta, and retail until Yoshida took over.
