Name some good and/or redeeming features this game had at launch besides graphics.
I'm a minority but minus needing some tweeking I liked the armory system. Only 2 things it needed were:
-Abilities/magic/etc. that don't belong to your current class should cost double to help you rely on your own abilities (IE: Cure would cost 6 points instead of 3 used on anything other than Conjurer)
-More exclusive abilities
Corr Cure is 2 points so it would double to 4. Just saying :P

Well guess what. We currently are beta testers, and these forums are where we should be voicing our ideas and opinions. If you'd like to argue against that statement, then go ahead. But you even said what happened when they ignored us. Would you like that to continue?This could very well be the single most ignorant statement made yet. The original game direction was unique and and potentially revolutionary. I really liked where Komoto was taking the game, but facts of it were simply that he & Tanaka blatantly chose to ignore the response of the Beta testers and adjust the content accordingly while delaying the game for at least another year.
Yes I do have a My Little Pony sig because I'm not a complete loser who lives in his own little world, proclaiming something is stupid because I say so.

Make classes having to rely more on their own abilities, while still being able to cross class abilities in a lesser amount or potency.

Also, you seem to think the Armory system is going somewhere, is going to be scrapped or completely changed.

ok i'll give a few
1. the armory system. no, it was not great at release by any stretch. i don't think you will find anyone that will argue there should have been more class specific abilities, but for the core of the system to build your own character many people really liked.
2. the leve system. yes, it is now, but should not have ever been the main way of progression in the game. quite frankly it is the only time you can get people to party at this point though. the reason is if more than one group winds up in an area trying to grind is the sp is severely affected.
3. the class quests. yes, i know the quests in this game were horrible and should have been vastly improved. i did still enjoy the little lore behind each class we did. they were extremely boring and need to be mostly just be redone. the only one i have really enjoyed was the r36 blacksmith quest and that one only because of the cut scene.
4. the fact that they tried to make the game to bring in a more diverse crowd. this failed dramatically though because you cannot make one game that caters to everyone. there needed to be different things for the different playstyles to enjoy.
5. they went away from the 24hr-1week spawn times on nm's. it made it easier for people with less camping time to enjoy doing the higher level mobs.

not adding in gear swap is going to ruin the game in the long run.
not having any gear swaping in ffxiv will make the game so boring and pointless by not giving us goals in collecting equip to make our jobs even more powerful and crafting classes will suffer also in creating those equipments.
FFXIV gives us many modifires in abilitys,weapons and magic but they dont use those systems correctly.
I know its a dumb idea of changing your gear during battle but there be even more ways around. Turn off all Display of equipment you have on or have a base equipment your alwas wearing and wont even show when you do change euipment.
They are gonna have to redo the swaping gear system into something else like Materia stat swaping or they will eventally bring it back cus of the major lack of customizing the players stats. This will effect most importantly the endgame equipment.

Skills
Str,Dex,Int,Mnd,Pie
Removing the last 2 points will ruin the game.
