So I am getting error 406 and I am getting charged $1 every time I get the error. (Retried 5x and got 5 separate charges...)

    What gives...
Please advise before I get really pissed off.

Ok, managed to pay the subscription through UltimatePay/Paypal with the APPROPRIATE IP address through VPN. (My Paypal account is US based and I am currently out of the US)
    ...
Now I have 6 $1 charges on my credits because of the failed attempts to pay using them.
Does anyone know if I can dispute these $1 charges without affecting my game account?
I remember hearing that SE will suspend the account if I do that...

They should refund it themselves actually. Every time I sub they remove the $1 charge in just a few days

Yeah, those $1 'charges' are actually what are called 'Card Authorizations' - they're not actual charges at all, but a test by SE to ensure your card details are vaild. After a few days your bank should automatically refund that money to your card. Most card providers use this function to ensure the card is actually authentic.

Thanks. Funny how I get the $1 charge each time yet their full charge failed...

Has anyone found out what this error actually means? I don't understand why they have information for some errors and not others. I can easily find information on 401 and 601 errors, but nothing about 406. I'm stationed overseas in Germany and don't have access to the cards everyone keeps suggesting for payment. I've never seen a company operate like this, FFXIV has had so many cumbersome payment methods - just shut up and take my money!

I tried Ultimate Pay using Paypal, and that failed too. I happened to have 30 USD in my account, so I tried buying 30 Crysta instead - but it rejected that payment method as well. I've tried using a US VPN to no avail. Get it together SE, this is more frustrating than trying to get a Garuda Ex clear on iLvl 77 MNK.

I'm currently getting this issue as well. I have 5 or 6 one dollar charges that were processed by my bank when S-E reconfirmed by card, but when I attempt to actually pay for game time, it mysteriously failed with a 406. This is incredibly frustrating.
