Actual gil cap for transfers?

Transferring from Non-Legacy to Non-Legacy, and I keep reading conflicting reports about the gil limit for server transfers. A large majority of my friends insist that the cap is 1 mil. But when I contacted support, I was linked to an entry from the Lodestone dated back in 2013 that confirms that the limit is 3 mil, but I figured it was part of a limited time offer for free transfers back in October.

Can any recent transfers confirm the gil cap? Is it 1 mil or 3 mil?

Furthermore, characters can only transfer 1 million gil, while retainers can only transfer 100 thousand gil. Please be aware that excess gil will be lost.
* Depending on economic conditions, the amount of gil that may be transferred with a character may be subject to change.

Not sure if this has any updated info since Legacy Tranfers to Non-Legacy became available but that's what the Guidelines have been for quite some time.

All you have to do is pull up the world transfer service faq here on lodestone or mog station and all the info is right there

The current world transfer guidelines (as of October 24, 2013) say 1 million gil, and 100,000 on retainers.

The preliminary world transfers, which ended October 22, 2013 (but are still the only results that come up in the Support Centre when doing a search for world transfers for some dumb reason), were able to transfer 3 million gil and 1 million on retainers.
