    Yup you are right ( though my issue is with Titan Extreme), If a party can't come together to overcome the barrier, then they can't get the rewards. Making what is 100% drop but different (or same) loot each time, to 100% drop... BUT taking 50-100 tries to actually getting it. ( And then hope the drop you need drops and have no competition for it lol). To me it's no different than a really low drop rate.

    That's not really what I meant there. I don't think those items should be all that much better. Maybe a little bit? Slightly perhaps?

    Remember all those people who were upset when the Twintania weapons get upgraded to +5ilvl more? That is such a insignificant upgrade. But hey, it was something. It was a carrot to chase. Before, there wasn't as much of a point to go kill Twintania.

    I'm not looking to have some huge upgrade. I just want a reason to chase the carrot. I want a reason to fight the harder battles. If there is absolutely nothing to gain, even I won't bother, except maybe to just do it once.

    It's not about what game you are playing. It's about having some "carrot to chase." If rewards aren't even 1% better than what you get from the easy content. Why do the harder content? I sure won't go do it.

    Having something to go chase for isn't hardcore. It's just having some goal. Those of us that have little time to play are the ones that appreciate most of all having our time put to good use.

    Otherwise there's a lot of achievements to do already, I sincerely doubt that just one player out there finished it all

    I agree mr. OP. I think a healthy mix of both is ideal. I enjoy the current looting system because it does allow me to be more relaxed about my play time but at the same time I wish there were some special items to farm i.e. super rare drops with low drop chances / rare crafting materials etc. for those lonely nights when I just want to grind.

    Of course it's different, you have control over one and not the other. If you can't kill the boss that is your fault, or the fault of someone else in your group. If an item has 0.1% drop rate, then no matter how good or bad you are you are screwed

    Why are people so opposed to harder content anyway?
    Why do hardcore players have to compromise themselves for casuals?

    If a lot of people can't beat extremes or coil at the moment, what's the harm in adding even more challenging content? Like something tiered higher than coil.
    It could be nerfed twice, once to coil difficulty and once more to casual difficulty. Or rather nerfed after a longer period, after 3-4 patches.
