With the below they are preparing us for an intro to the new race? That hood and those ears? What do you all think? I think it is very suspicious myself.



Hailing from the nation of Doma on the shores of Othard, Yugiri and her countrymen have fled their war-torn home and the oppression of Garlean rule in search of refuge.

With supplies and hopes for survival dwindling, Yugiri seeks council with Eorzea's leaders, that they too may call this land their home.

There are other threads up as well besides the ones i've linked from the front-page detailing the exact same thing.
Always check the search function, or at least the first few topic pages, as for high profile updates there's usually 2-3 threads up 5 minutes after the news is posted.

First expansion is probably related to the east continents, where Doma is. 2.2 patch is about them coming to seek refuge. But in the expansion it could be a treck to the new lands.
This would suggest new jobs like ninja, samurai, and even blue mage - "eastern" jobs.
The clothing has a little resemblance to ninjas/assassins in FFT, or blue mages in FFXI.
Also, Doma is Cyan's fallen kingdom in FFVI, and Cyan is a samurai.
