    Idea for Housing: 'FC Photos.'

After finally buying ourselves a nice little medium house, trapping each other into partitions and clicking the Tonberry lamps for an unhealthy amount of time, We began discussing other ideas that could breathe a little more life into the interior of the house.

One of my buddies suggested a 'FC photo.' The ability to take ones screenshots, frame them, and hang them on the wall.

In another game, Aion, player groups had the ability to create their own 'crest.' Would something similar be possible for FC housing, perhaps as a singular framed item?

I would also like a list of potential cons and possible solutions if such a thing were to be implemented.

I am aware that there is room for potential unsavoury screenshots, the ability to edit them to say something obscene, so it would need to be implemented with things like that in mind.

I was wondering what everyone else thinks of this idea? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

From what I understand this is the actual reason why players can't make their own designs for their company crests and can only assemble one from pre-made templates - it's to stop people creating obscene ones or crests that impede on another's copyright (like uploading an image of a TV show or something), as SE would have to first scan every image that's submitted to ensure it complies with the terms of service and thus would just be far too costly and time consuming.

I presume this is the same reason why SE hasn't considered a photo idea for free companies, although like you I'd love to see something like this added too.

For that matter, I'm not even sure photography even exists in Eorzea lore-wise (at least FFXI had a kind of photograph system in it's lore called 'soul-trap cameras') - but may the Lore forum prove me wrong though!

Housing definitely needs more artwork-style furniture pieces. I'm just going to assume our characters are handy, but not the most artistic sorts of people (my rationale for not being able to make my own Edvya doll...)

Screenshots though? they're be penis and boob pictures everywhere without a huge screening process. Too much of a bother even as a player (I remember the hassle of Warframe's custom guild insignias)

Possibly something that will only allow you to capture and use screenshots taken right then and there, meaning that cannot be edited externally because its uploaded as is? That would limit it to an acceptable degree, I think. At least, It would limit it to things in game and fit in thematically, while not really requiring a screening progress.

Photography not existing is another good point, though the soul trap system is an interesting idea. I quit XI before that was implemented, so I never got to play around with it.
