This already exists. It's a White Mage in Cleric Stance. They are not going to strip White Mage of Holy and give it to a new job like you suggest. It's just not going to happen.

The Thaumaturge uses exactly the same number of elements as the conjurer. Fire/Ice/Thunder vs. Earth/Water/Wind. Frankly, the conjurer's elemental association is much more suited to a geomancer than are the thaumaturge's given that earth, wind, and water are present in every reasonably normal environment.
