    12 Month Reward - Will This idea Work?

    Ok, my 6 month reoccurring subscription is due to be billed on April 15, 2014. The patch is going to be released March 27, 2014. That's approximately 3 weeks after the patch.

    If, hypothetically speaking, I cancelled my 6 month subscription on March 27, 2014 and paid for another 6 month subscription that same day, would I get the rewards?

    For those of you wondering why? Or "this person is so impatient/childish...." Whatever.

    I have a lot of disposable income. I have a career, family and other obligations. I am going to end up giving up 3 weeks of my paid 26 week subscription.

    With legacy account, I pay $48 for 6 months. Giving up 3 weeks is equivalent to $5.54.

    So, is losing $5.54 cents worth getting my behemoth mount and aetheryte item 3 weeks in advance? Hell yess!

    So does this idea work, or are their unforeseen consequences that I am not aware of?

    No, cancelling and resubscribing won't work as you'd still have to wait till the current time expired before the new time would be billed. It'd essentially just be what you're already doing. In order to actually get the rewards early you'd have to use Square's Time Cards, which literally are more time added and not a billing schedule.

    I think there are two options....

    (1) Cancelling a reoccuring subscription.
    (2) and Cancelling the Service.

    I think cancelling the service terminates the time you have left vs. cancelling the reoccuring subscription keeps your current time left but doesn't charge you again after the time is up.

    Cancelling the Service cancels everything, not just your subscribed time. You'd literally be erasing the characters, the account history, everything. Cancelling your subscription just tells them to stop billing you. You still have any time you already paid for left on the account waiting to be used. This is why, in regards to Veteran Rewards, those with long run subscriptions have to wait the longest on getting them.
