That is overall DPS, "Spike DPS" isn't really recorded in ACT. If you have graphs turned on, you can take note of how high your dps spikes during certain time periods though.

Good advice about Titan jumps and such, I've managed to keep my GL stacks 'most' of the time now. It does tend to piss off the healers tho, heh

I recently cleared Ifrit EX and picked up the Hellish Claws, so I went back and did some more dummy-smacking with em. From what I found, either RNG is RNG or I am just consistently terrible...

I have no idea how you managed to achieve 330+ dps at ilv83 with Flank Only, Esca. Cause everything I've done has proven otherwise. Still I thank you for your actual parse. As of right now, I've improved my DPS(I think), but I still feel lost like I'm doing something drastically wrong.

Hmm, not sure what you are doing differently on the flank only parses, you can see I didn't use any other skills =/.

All I did was hit Perfect Balance, Spam Snap Punch x4 during it's duration, weaving in Internal Release, Blood for Blood, Steel Peak, and Howling Fist between each, then just repeating the Dragon Kick/Twin Snakes/Snap Punch combo over and over, using Steel Peak/Howling Fist on CD

i83 Gear being Hellish Claws, DL Head, CT Body, Allagan Gloves, Belt, CT Legs, Gryphonskin Feet (no materia melded), Allagan Neck, Titan Earring, Ifrit Wrist, Garuda Ring, DL ring of Striking

I'm not saying this is good, I'm just saying that with better gear and using correct rotation you should be able to get way higher than this I would think.

It's safe to say that right now, these results seem to be about RNG.

Aside from Twin Snakes and Auto, you were consistly MUCH higher on your crits than I strike-for-strike, and that could definitely have a hand in the DPS numbers.

Now I'd like to look at min/max/med

This data probably isn't the best since I didn't crit s often, didn't give me the opportunity to get higher numbers as much. However, I did have a higher Twin Snakes and Howling Fist that you at my maximum; which means I should be capable of doing the same for all other strikes and sources of damage.

This makes me think there could be some sort of DET soft-cap like 325 or so. Since I haven't hit it yet, I will consistently have lower strikes.

I would really appreciate if more people post'd their dummy parses as well. Flank only or not, but with enough detail that some of it can be at least analyzed. Thank you.


PS: Since I crited more often on Twin Snakes, it sort of makes sense why that one would have a higher top value than yours, Esca. Thanks again for providing data, if you'd like to share more, I would really appreciate it. That or people can further discuss if there even is something like a Determination soft-cap.
