To keep your GL on Titan EM:

First jump: you must have recently completed an attack within a second of his jump, and run towards the center as he's falling. You can lose GL if he jumps before you get your attack off, it's semi-RNG factored since crits and such can push him beyond your ability to predict his jump to the second.
Second jump (heart): can't normally keep it, but if your team pushes during Gaols, you will keep it though your team will be in a much worse spot.
Third jump (post-heart): only way to keep is if you push him during circle bombs and attack the center bomb.
Fourth jump (post-super bombs): attack bombs to keep up your rotation, just make sure you don't get hit by an explosion.

Technically, if you don't get Gaoled, you can indeed keep up GL3 through the whole fight. It requires certain DPS (not necessarily good DPS, semi-slow in fact) to do. That being said, in no way is it guaranteed.

Or your teammates break you out within 5-6 seconds so you can continue with your rotation. Nice thing is, gaol doesn't give Damage down that needs esuna/leeche like Titan HM. Like other people have said, your Determination is a bit low and you're probably using a set with high Accuracy as well for turn 5, which is not needed in EX primals. I think you need to minimize Accuracy and Skill Speed.
My i85 monk can do max 270 in Titan given perfect condition with:
    471 str
    403 crit
    300 det
    428 ss

Ok I actually need to ask this on dummies for testing ur dpS. How long do u guys run ur time. Like for example Wp boss king when I run my ilvl90 mnk and with a great grp takes us about 2min. So I run a parse for 2 min on a dummy. I Pace about 300-315 dpS. I don't know if that's low.

I dummy parse until I start to run dry on TP. Depending on skill speed of my set that will be approximately 4 to 4:30. The lower your skill speed the longer you can last. When I'm parsing I'm looking to get an idea of a longer fight such as T1 or T2. Obviously there's longer fights than that in the game, but there's only so much you can do solo on a dummy.

Yeah here's what I'm looking for tho. U know we Mnks don't have a burst just like of blm and drg. I also know if TP permits it we can go well beyond 400dps+. I'd like to know is this, how quick do u guys pass the 300 dpS mark. I know on a pug grp for t1 I actually time the fight(1st try on cad), which tOok us 05:15. May be I need to run the timer on that.

you pass 300 DPS the moment you land your first punch, your opening rotation determines what your starting burst is at, be it 400, 500, 600 dps, then your rotation determines how much it decreases until it levels out, be it 400, 300, or 200 DPS, you don't start at zero and work your way UP to 300, you start out well above it, and try not to dip below it.

There was a reddit thread discussing DPS and one user had a post of compiled parses on fights like Caduceus (which lasts around 3 minutes)

I was curious, what do you all think of the results? I'll be honest, I didn't really expect anyone to top the SMN with 397 DPS and was pretty stoked when I saw the monk parse.

    Thread in question : http://www.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/commen...dgame_dps_job/

That is overall DPS, "Spike DPS" isn't really recorded in ACT. If you have graphs turned on, you can take note of how high your dps spikes during certain time periods though.

Good advice about Titan jumps and such, I've managed to keep my GL stacks 'most' of the time now. It does tend to piss off the healers tho, heh

I recently cleared Ifrit EX and picked up the Hellish Claws, so I went back and did some more dummy-smacking with em. From what I found, either RNG is RNG or I am just consistently terrible...

I have no idea how you managed to achieve 330+ dps at ilv83 with Flank Only, Esca. Cause everything I've done has proven otherwise. Still I thank you for your actual parse. As of right now, I've improved my DPS(I think), but I still feel lost like I'm doing something drastically wrong.

ilv80-90 MONKS PLEASE POST DETAILED DUMMY/ENCOUNTER PARSE RESULTS!!
