Who would represent 14 if SE made another dissidia?

If SE made another dissidia game who would represent ff14?

Initially I thought someone from the scions, but they're all rather bland.
Next I thought Cid, he fights alongside you in the missions and has a connection to the main villains. But Cid seems like too much of an iconic character of the series to be attributed to 14.

For the villain character there is quite a selection of characters that would work, van Baelsar, Nero, Lahabrea.

But the good character, we don't really have anyone that is really iconic except... Hildibrand! As funny as he'd be he doesn't really tie in with the 14 villains, so unless they pull an ff11 on us and make him a hidden character irrelevant to the story I don't think he'd work.

For personal reasons, I'd like Merlwyb to be in there. Outside of those reasons, she'd be an interesting character to play as.
