    ffxiv arr account expire and recovery

    What happens if I let my account expire? I'm using crysta. Let's say I stop putting crysta on my account and my paid month is over. How long is my account allowed to sit inactive? Can I recover my characters or are they deleted immediately when I do not pay?

    As far as I know you do not lose your characters. I have seen players quit and return after several months with no issues.

    Generally, SE will not delete your characters or your account. I had an inactive account for 2 years and it was still available when I rejoined the game for the 2.0 launch.

    The only way for the characters or account to be deleted is if you explicitly cancel the account on the SE page as that erases the login information those characters are connected to. Letting the subscription lapse is not enough.
