So I'm leveling a Marauder (and Gladiator) with the intention of becoming a Warrior. Which cross class skills from Gladiator (or any other class) are basically must-have for a good Warrior later in the game?

Must-have: Provoke.
Nice-to-have: Flash, Convalescence, Awareness, Featherfoot, Internal Release, Second Wind. Pick your 4.
Alright so that means I'll have to go minimum 12 in Pugilist and 34 in Gladiator. Or 22 if I don't go with Awareness. Cool, thanks!
Provoke is mandatory for certain endgame fights.
I find myself using Convalescence, Awareness, Featherfoot and either Flash or Inner Release depending on the situation.
Convalescence and Featherfoot are the two obvious survivability boosts; and Conv is the most powerful.
Awareness is no longer bugged (it used to prevent Critical Heals) and can help smooth out damage so that you don't take a Critical autoattack at an inopportune moment.
Sounds like I shouldn't pass up Awareness. Second Wind sounds rather awesome on paper. Not so much in practice?
Second Wind just doesn't scale very well in parties and has a long cooldown.
It's not that it's not helpful, just that other stuff is usually more useful.
Mantra (as Bixby says) is also worth a mention - it's the one cross class skill that my WAR still doesn't have available. It can actually be quite helpful in certain fights, not so much as a method of saving YOU, but as a method for buffing AoE healing spikes on the party in things like T2 or T4 enrage... or even Titan EM's AoE phases. Though it's only a 5% buff to healing, it applies to your entire party. Whether or not it's more useful than the other skills? Debatable.
WAR actually has it quite nice - there are a lot of cross class skills to choose from that can be considered helpful depending on the situation; but only Provoke is mandatory.
(Personally I'd put Convalescence in second place with a considerable margin over any of the remaining skills though!!)![]()
You can go without Awareness for a long time. I didn't get it until after I'd gotten my relic weapon.
Nobody's mentioned Mantra. That's a hell of a commitment, though, at PGL 42, and it's not huge. I've only bothered because I made MNK my first 50 DPS.
And yeah, Second Wind just doesn't provide enough HP to really shine.
I eventually plan to go with a DPS class to so if I go the Monk route I'll eventually get Mantra. I've got my GLD at 13 now so hitting 22 fairly quickly to get everything but awareness shouldn't be too tough. And I should be able to get a Pugilist to 12 with a couple nights of effort I'd think. I'm thinking Awareness might wait till I hit 50 with my Warrior at this point.
You won't miss it.
Enemy Weaponskills and abilities can't crit, so Awareness is really only useful in certain Coil fights where your taking a Critical Autoattack at exactly the wrong time might push you over the line from "Alive" to "Dead".
It can help a tiny bit when herding trash mobs up; but you'll see better mitigation returns even from something like Foresight.
You guys have all been very helpful. Thanks!
